The purpose of all this was to create two busts to be placed on stage for the second act
of UMGASS's winter 2001 production of The Grand Duke. For fun, we decided
that the busts should look like the two co-directors, Victoria Rondeau
and David Zinn.
So we decided to make a lifecast of each face and apply it to a bust
sculpture that was missing the face. This would, in theory, provide a fast
way for an amateur sculptor (me) to produce sculptures that resembled the
directors enough that people would say "Hey, wait a minute. Isn't that..."
Otherwise I would have to sculpt the faces by hand, which would in theory take
longer.
