I've found lots of cool Polish sites on the Internet. Many of the sites are in Polish, however if you are studying Polish, you should throw yourself into the path of your new language as much as possible.

Newspapers

Rzeczpospolita (Polish/English) Large prestigious newspaper from Warsaw. Contains complete stories and political commentary, as well as news headlines. Has an English page too!

Gazeta Wyborcza(Polish) Another Polish Newpaper. The news on this site is presented in little blurbs that are easier to read.

Wirtualna Polska Virtual Poland (Polish) One stop shopping for all kinds of Polish sites on the net. Looks a lot like the Yahoo homepage. Contains links to many other Polish web pages, organized by category. The list of personal web pages is particularly interesting. (under "ludzi"). Check them out and find a chat friend!

Polish Press Agency (PAP) (Polish) Short press articles in Polish.

Pop Culture

RMF FM (Polish) Poland's biggest radio station, broadcast from cities all over the country. You can listen live, on line with Real Audio..

Radio WAWa (Polish) My favorite Radio Station. From Warsaw. The web page is under construction, but there
is a Real Audio feed.

Edyta Bartosiewicz (Polish) One of Poland's most popular pop stars. In my opinion, her music is reason enough to learn Polish. O Edytko, jak ja cie kocham!!:)

Miscellaneous All of these are in Polish!

WPROST Web page of the premier Polish newsmagazine. Current events, politics, culture. Wprost looks a lot like Time
magazine, but the contents of course have a Polish twist.

Polish Police Home Page Yes, the Polish Police are on line. A unique source of information about crime and criminality in Poland today. Includes crime statistics, press releases, missing persons register and most wanted list. Fascinating!

The Polish Sejm This is the official home page of the Polish Parliament, the Sejm. There are links to the Polish Constitution and other parts of the basic law of the new Poland. You will find listings and bios of the senior members of the Polish legislative branch.

Magazin Internetowy WWW Polish internet information. Not much different from English language internet information, but it is in Polish and you can pick up some internet slang to impress you Polish chat friends.
