Minky Moo was one of our first Guinea Pigs. As a 10 year old with love only for her piggies, Minky and her friends taught me many things, including loss. Minks was a placid and happy sow, who would talk continually when you had her in your lap. She became best friends with Lucy and was never far from the food bowl.
Minky had to be put to sleep due to what we suspected was some kind of cancer or urinary infection. She just couldn't shake it, with the medication we had her on. She was in a lot of pain and I felt it best to have her at ease than for her to continue suffering. It was truly a traumatic experience and one I will never forget. Minky will never be forgotton by any of us... the pig made of steel.
