Bullet & Shaolin - Small Town Livin' Big City Game
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- The title track has some heat to it. The beat is pretty good and the background
affects have a nice feel to them. Bullet and Shaolin sound more like hip-hop
artists to me, but they have a twist of gangsta to them. A pretty good opening
track overall.
- Another well produced track. Beat and instruments fit together perfectly. Both rappers have a tight verse. A good track overall.
- Mad Ro has some heat on this track. I like his style of flow. The beat is pretty
good and the background affects fit in well. Some nice piano work. The hook is
decent. A much better track than the previous one.
- This track has all the East Side Records playas on it. This track has some heat to
it. Everyone who flows has a pretty good flow and they all fit well with the beat
and affects. The hook isn't very good, but it doesn't bring the track down that
much. One of the best tracks on the album.
- The hook is pretty good, but I don't like the feel of the track. This track has
a more of an R&B feel to it. I'm not feeling it at all.
- This is a Bullet solo. He flows about being bad, but girls love it, so it's ok.
A pretty good feel to this track, much better than the previous one. Bullet has a
more of a gangsta feel to him than Shaolin. I like him much more than Shaolin.
- The beat isn't very good on this track. Bullet starts off with a good flow. The
hook kicks in with a nice flow to it. Jazz has a good flow on this track. The beat
isn't that great, but the background affects are good. A decent track.
- Jay Tee from N2Deep is on this track. He has some sicc flows to him. The beat is
great and the background affects are perfect. This is one of the best tracks on
the album. A sicc track overall. Gets your head moving.
- The beat isn't very good on this track. Bullet's flow doens't shine with this
beat. I'm not really feeling this track at all. Needed a little work.
- The lyrics on this track are great. The hook is great, "But is it me, or is it
my 3 CDs?" A great lyrical track. Take a close listen to it. A good message for
everyone who has someone who only wants money and not love.
- This has real R&B feel to it. Arjay flows about making love and the love for a
woman. Bullet comes in with his style of flow that adds some heat to the track.
One of those slow R&B tracks. A good vocal track too. Decent overall, even though
it's not really my favorite style.
- The flows don't really go along with the beat very well. Bullet is flowing way
too fast for the beat and background affects. They don't fit in together well.
The hook is pretty good though. Not really feeling this track though.
- I like the background affects to this track. Bullet has some nice flows on this
track. He grabs the mic and just rips it up. I like this track for his flow and
the background affects. A good track overall.
- I'm liking this track a lot. The beat is pretty good and the flows are sicc. The
hook is good and everything fits together well. This is one of my favorite tracks
on this album. Good overall.
- I'm feeling this track. The production is very good. The hook is great and the
flows are good too. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. I'm feeling
it to the fullest. A sicc track overall.
- I'm not really feeling this track. The hook isn't very good, the beat is too simple
and I don't like the background vocals. Not a very good track overall.
- This is a shout out to Bullet's mother. A track with a lot of heart to it. It has
an R&B feel to it. A good track to end the album with.
Overall this album came up short for me. There were some tracks that had some heat
to them, but overall there were a lot of dissapointing tracks. It seemed like it
was either a really good track, or a poor one, no middle. The production needed a
little work. I did like a lot of the flows on it though. A decent album overall at
best.
