Lil Ric - The Thug Nut (On One)
Reviewed By: $LUCKY LUCIANO$
- Just King George introducing Lil Ric being No Limit's first thug and etc.
- One word, BANGIN! That basically describes the beat. A perfect track to start off the
album. "Slidin thru gutta on Butta" he goes off and like I said this shit is tight.
10/10
- Beat is akward. Kinda funky, knockin though. Tight beat to flow over, Lil Ric starts
off with a cool verse, chorus is ok, B-Legit shines even over a beat that wouldnt seem
like he would come tight over, but it's pretty good. 7.5/10
- This is my kinda shit. This is the type of shit I ride to. You probably might not feel
it, but like I said this is my shit. Beat is pretty mobbed out. All the flows are on
point esp. the Jacka and Huslah. 9/10
- I'm probably gonna end up skipping this one. Crazy ass beat that's hard for me to get
used to. 6/10
- "Oakland ass knock" as Lil Ric says. He lays it down for the Rich though. Good flows
on this one. I've heard many more tighter DJ Darryl beats, but not to take anything
away from this one. Tight track. 8/10
- Soft. It's pretty deep ya know, not really something to ride to, but it's a good ass
song. Ric does the first 2 verses then Black C lets us all know about how his nigga
died and he gives it up for the homie Mr. Cee. 8.5/10
- I wasn't too impressed at first, but this shit done grew on me. Only bad part is some
weird fool talking at the beggining, but aside from that shit's hot. Lil Ric comes
heated as fuck 1st, then God damn, Mac Drevious lays down a saucy ass verse. Shit's
hot. Any Dre fan gotta hear this shit. Keak comes wild as fuck. I like it cuz he's one
of my favorites, but Keak haters will love to talk some shit. 9.5/10
- He took the infamaous "Dope fiend Beat" from Too $hort. So of course shit's knockin,
but I heard this beat too many times, so it's not one of my favorites on this disc,
but since Lil Ric flows hella tight on it I'm gonna be knockin it. 9/10
- Fast paced beat, kinda up beat, but the flows aren't. He just flows about the slumz.
This track doesn't stand out too much to me. 7/10
- Better beat, still fast paced, but much more knock. The flows are cool, Harm comes
hella tight, then sings a lil. Lil Ric comes how he's been coming, very tight! Lil Ric
has skills on the mic. Rydah comes decent as well. 8.5/10
- This beat hit's pretty hard. Slower track for the album though. Filthy Phil comes off
tighter probably because Lil Ric and Laroo flow way more laid back. OK track. Shit, you
might like it more than me. 6.9/10
- Hmmm. I haven't really given much listen to this song. I'm a huge 1 Drop fan, but this
beat doesn't stand out that much. Kinda boring track, but like I said I haven't given
this one to much attention. NR
- Damn this shit has to be tight huh? Well I'm kinda un-decided. Beat is very "up-beat."
Sounds like Ant Banks sampled something. Damn, I just cant really get into this one.
Messy Marv is one of my favorites, so you know he comes tight and of course Ric keeps
up his batting average on this one. but the damn beat is kinda weak to me dammit.
7/10
- Oh can't forget the "Slutro" b4 the song. Yeah this beat is knockin as fuck and by the
song title u can tell what this one's about. Another stand out track. Goddman Too $hort
rips it. "You aint a hoe, you's a Ho-bo." Haha damn, I'm riding to this one. 10/10
- Wow I'm gonna waste my time talking about this filler track. 5/10
- I believe you can hear this track at Westside 2000 website. My defintion of the all
American AVERAGE track. 6.5/10
- Refer to track 16.
Overall this album is fucking dope to me. You might not like all the guests, but Lil
Ric has always had hella guests on his shit. The production on this disc is pretty
fucking good for a new CD these days, Lil Ric has a gang of young producers he's
fucking with and they can bring heat. If you are a Lil Ric fan in any way, you better
cop, If you like to ride to some tight shit, you better cop, If you like that mob shit,
you better cop. Just a solid ass bay album. 8.5/10
