Messy Marv - Turf Politics
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- This track is a little short, but it knoccs pretty hard. C-Bo has a coo verse and Messy Marv comes with some heat.
The beat isn't all that great, but it's a decent track to start the album off with.
- Sean T laces Messy with a sweet beat on this track. The production overall is clean and it fits in perfectly. Messy has
some nice lyrics on this track. Messy has very hard lyrics and his delivery has a hard style to it. I'm feeling this track a
lot. It's one of my favorite on the album.
- The title track is good except for one thing. It sounds like Daz's verse was recorded in a concrete room cause there is
a big echo. As always Levitti lays down his nice vocals on the hook. Everyone does there part to make this track tight.
Daz's verse is still confusing to me. A tight track overall.
- This is just a skit where a hoe talks about pimps. Nothing more.
- Oooohhh weee!!!! I'm feeling this track to the fullest. The beat is knoccin and the production by Dewayne Wiggins
and A.G. is clean as fuck! Rappin 4-Tay and Messy come hard as fuck on this one. This track just knoccs hard, I
can't really say anything more about it. Bump it loud!
- Sean T laces Messy up with another knoccin beat. Messy spits some tight lyrics all the way through this. The only thing
I don't like about this track is the hook. He just says cuzzin like a thousand times. It's a clean track minus the hook.
- Messy talks about fucking his homies girl. The hook is tight and is actually kinda funny. The pace of the track is a little
slow, but it fits perfectly for the lyrics. Nice production by Dewayne Wiggins and A.G. It's a coo track, original
concept.
- Along skit with these two mafia guys talking about how they want to be like Messy. A funny skit, but still a skit.
- Hard lyrics on this track. A true gangsta track right here. The beat is alright, but it's nothing special. Messy has some
nice flows to the beat. Just a hard nosed type track, can't say much more about it.
- Perfect production by Dewayne Wiggins and A.G. Messy starts it off with some tight lyrics then 40 comes in with
some coo lyrics and B-Legit comes with some nice lyrics of his own. All three make this one of my favorite tracks on
the album. No hook to this track though, wish there was one, still tight anyway.
- I like the female vocals on the hook. Messy's delivery on this track is perfect and the beat by Sean T is clean. George
Clinton just talks a bit near the end of the track. It's a knoccin track from start to finish, I'm feeling it to the fullest.
- This track is all about keeping the faith no matter how bad it is. Messy has some heart felt lyrics on this one. The beat
is good and I like the voilin in the background. More nice female vocals on the hook. A good track overall.
- This is a decent track to end the album with. Messy has some coo lyrics. The beat by Young B is alright. I like the
intruments in the background. Nothing special on this track, but solid. A good track to end it with.
Overall this is a excellent album. I had never heard much from Messy Marv until this album and I am now a fan. He has
a hard style to him that I'm feeling. The production is clean all the way through. My only problem with it is that it's a big
short and there are two skits on a 13 track album. Wish I could of heard more, but even with 13 tracks this album is
clean. Check it out!
