Mr. D.O.G. - Ghetto Politics
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- Intro. A little beat in the background, E-40 just talks through the whole thing. Not
really a track at all.
- A very good beat and some good background affects. The first real track on the album.
Mr. D.O.G. has a very unique voice that sounds a bit funny to me actually. Although
it's a weird voice it's actually quite good. I love the hook to this track. Cool Nutz
has a good verse. A good track overall.
- I love the hook on this track cause it's real "everybody knows it's all about paper."
Both Ras Kass and Mr. D.O.G. come sicc on this track, even though it's hard to get
used to D.O.G.'s voice.
- The first solo track by D.O.G. The tracks only a minute long. He has a little flow,
but it's not really good.
- This track is all about how Mr. D.O.G. deals with the perpatrators. The hook has some
good vocals to it and D.O.G. has his first successful solo track on the album.
- A track that I thought would be much better. The beat isn't very good and the
background intruments don't fit the beat well. Some of the verses are coo, but not
enough to make up for the poor beat.
- This track does a good job at making up for the previous track. E-40 comes with some
heat and the beat is about ten times better. The background affects fit right along
with the beat and the flows go well too.
- This track is a dedication to all the lost homies. A lot of heart on this track,
although the flow is a little too fast to fully express his feelings I think. Still a
good track.
- A tight beat on this track. It has a faster flow than all the previous tracks. Homicyde
has a good verse, I like his delivery. A good track overall.
- A slow beat goes along with D.O.G. flow. I don't think his style should go with slower
beats like this. The background intruments are good and the hook is good, but the flow
is a let down.
- This is a much better beat to flow to for Mr. D.O.G. It's a lot faster and has some
good affects in the background. All three rappers have good verses.
- Another track that let me down. I skip this one. Poor beat, hook and flow to it.
- The best track on the album. All four rappers have sicc verses. The beat is good and
the background affects are tight. Every bad track is redeemed with this one. My
personal favorite.
- The title track has some heat to it. Mr. D.O.G. has his unique flow going on while the
beat some sicc in the background. He shows how fast his flow can be on this track. A
good track overall.
- The beat and background affects are the best on the album. The flow is ok, but it
takes a while to get used to Mr. D.O.G.'s flow. He has a good flow once you get used
to his voice. The hook is good here too.
- A slower beat to this track, but they flow fits perfectly. All the rappers have good
verses and the hook has some nice vocals on it. Good track.
- This track just has some shouts out from Mr. D.O.G. A little beat in the background
goes along with it.
Overall this album has some heat. It was better than I thought it would be. It
surprised me, I'm glad that it's as good as it is. Mr. D.O.G. has a weird voice, but
I think it's one that will get overlooked for the lyrics and flows that he presents.
Overall a good album.
