Overflow - Just Begun to Begin
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- Just a little intro, only 12 seconds long.
- This track starts the album off nicely with a coo little hip-hop style beat and production by Flo Wright and Overflow.
The background vocals on the hook by Flo Wright are sweet. Overflow starts it off with a decent verse. He has more
of a mix of hip-hop and R&B type style to him. Mr. Dev'Yon brings more of a rap style to the track. A good mix of
the two and nice production. Good start to the album.
- Real nice production from Overflow on this track. The beat is perfect for Overflow's flow. He's just flowing about
how he does what he wants and he reps North Carolina and Seattle. A good hip-hop track to bump.
- Good production from Overflow with some nice scratching by DJ S-Sense. Overflow's lyrics are pretty good. He
flows about the game being all love. More of that hip-hop feel. Nothing special, but a good track overall.
- A nice party feel to this track. The hook by Tavarious is great. Decent production by Overflow, but it gives the perfect
feel for the track. A perfect hip-hop styled track. I'm feeling it.
- Perfect production from Flo Wright and Overflow. Some sweet vocals on the hook by Lori Harkness. Overflow flows
about wondering if life is like it is or is he just dreaming. A good track overall, I'm feeling it.
- After hearing this song I'm really getting interested in Overflow's mic skills. FloWright laces up the beat which works
with this slower paced track. The hook has some nice vocals on it by Flo Wright and Lori Harkness and I like
Overflow's style. A good track overall. This is the same track from Night Shield's "Hostile Takeover."
- I'm not really feeling this track too much. I don't like the production by Overflow. He spits some coo lyrics on the mic,
but the beat isn't good and it takes away from the track too much. A skipper.
- A slower paced track. I'm not really feeling the production by Overflow. Cinista Cin'Natra just talks over the phone
to Oveflow about reppin Seattle and North Carolina. Wish he would have had a verse because I like his style. A
decent track at best.
- This is just a short little flow by Overflow. Night Shield ends the track with a little talk about Overflow. Nice little
track.
- The beat knoccs on this track. Overflow did the production and he comes clean on the mic as well. Some nice
background instruments on this track. One of my favorite tracks on the album.
- This is another track from "Hostile Takeover." Overflow comes with those sweet hip-hop style flows. The beat by
Mobius and Overflow is clean and works well with the flows. I like the hook the most, but both flows by Overflow
and Dev'Yon are clean. A tight track from start to finish, can't say anything more.
- More of an R&B styled track because of the vocals by Flo Wright and Lori Harkness. Nice R&B type of production
from Flo Wright and Overflow. You might not like this track if you're a rap fan, but if you like hip-hop and R&B
you'll probably like it.
- Nice producton from Overflow. I like the guitar work in the background. A good beat to it as well. Overflow comes
clean on the mic. This is a track that I think his soft vocals don't really help him out. A harder voice would have fit
better. Still a good track though.
- This is a remix from a track off of Night Shield's "Nation Compilation." I kinda liked the background vocals better on
the original, but I like Overflow's flow on this one more. Hard to say which is better, but I like both.
- A short little track to end the album. Sounds like clips from various albums or other tracks that didn't make this album.
Coo little way to end the album.
Overall this is a good debut album from Overflow. He shows that he has some nice hip-hop style lyrics and that he can
produce the tracks as well. There really isn't anything special that stands out about him, but this is not a weak album by
any means. I'll be on the lookout for the next Overflow album, but I'm going to expect more from this up and comer.
