The Events of Midway
Beach Blast - The Midway Summer Blast has been an annual event in the town of Midway since 1990. It is a summer carnival like most others, with pie-eating contests, boardwalks, win-a-prize contests, and lots and lots of food. Included in the Beach Blast is the Miss Midway contest, a contest that determines who the most beautiful and talented teen girl who enters is.
The Diamond Banquet - This annual banquet is one that recognizes schools in the Midway area with awards that deal with academic and athletic accomplishment. Prime battleground for Midway Prep and Midway Academy.
Fall Away - Fall Away is Midway Prep's autumn festival that is held on the beach. There are sailing contests, baking contests, and many other contests. Also, groups come to perform on a pre-setup stage, which enlivens the atmosphere and mood of the event. It is held in October.
Homecoming - What student and teenager doesn't love Homecoming? Here, the king and queen are crowned, one of the biggest football games are held here, and it's a great time to make-out with the one you love! The same goes here for Midway Prep, although a little more is at stake here...
Madison's Ball - Madison's Ball is a new annual New Year's Eve ball that is held in memory of Madison Gray, a young woman who was killed in a drunk driving accident on New Year's Eve, 1999, before Midway Prep began. Students come dressed in their finest to celebrate the upcoming year and in remembrance of one who was a friend to all.
