How could Vash do that to Knives?! Knives was just trying to watch out for he and himself, and what does Vash do? He hurts Knives!!! And he had the nerve to run away! I crawled ontop of Knives and took out a handkerchiff, and started to clean up Knives' face. Vash had made him bleed...

"Legato," Knives whispered to me. "Thank you."

"Of course," I said. "You saved me. I want to save you, too." He smiled up at me. He raised his hand to my head, and started to pet me again. He's so kind... I closed my eyes and enjoyed the petting. How I had wanted a gentle touch again. Like Ken-niichan. Vash looked just like Ken- niichan, but he hit Knives... Ken-niichan would never hit anyone.

"Legato, I want to cut my hair. Do you know how to cut hair?" Knives asked me. I shook my head. He sighed. "I'll do it myself then. I have to go get sissors." I knew exactly what that ment. "Will you be okay if I leave you here by yourself?"

~Will you hurry? I don't want to be without you for a single moment.~ I hugged him lightly, then rolled off of him. Knives stood up, and walked out the door.

When Knives came back, his hair was so much shorter! He still looked like an angel, even with short hair. He was carrying a bag full of food, which he set down in front of me.

"I snuck this out of the kitchen area of the ship. Eat as much as you want, Legato," Knives said, smiling. He had taken about an hour to get back to me, but I did not mind. I looked around room some. Seeing the people in cases like dolls was somewhat hypnotizing.

Knives handed me the bag, and I immeadiately started eating the food, not caring about the taste too much. Knives watched me, smiling slightly. Once I was finished, I smiled, and thanked him.

"Legato. I want to get rid of the humans," Knives said, changing his tone a little. "But first I want to get you off the ship. I am going to repair the capsule you were sleeping in, so you will go to sleep like them." I guess I can trust him... He saved me once, he can save me again, right? I nodded, to show that I was alright with his suggestion, and he continued. "I have to sneak you out to another part of the ship once I am done."

"I trust you, Knives," I said quietly. He's such a kind, merciful angel. I smiled lightly at him, and he reached around to my back, and pulled me close to him.

"I want to ask you a question, Legato," Knives said. I nodded again, allowing him to continue. "Do you agree with the following statement: 'To save the butterfly, you must kill the spider'?"

I tilted my head back, thinking. Wasn't it wrong to kill? No... Of course not. You have to kill to protect the ones you love. And Knives is like a butterfly, and I would gladly kill a 'spider' that might hurt him. Does this mean Vash is a spider?

"Of course I agree. It's foolish to think you could save both, anyways," I said. Knives leaned closer to me, and pressed his lips to mine, and closed his eyes. I closed mine, of course. Knives out his arms around me and continued to hold me close to him. He stroked my hair some, and broke the kiss.

"I will stay with you for awhile, then go put my plan into motion," Knives said as he held me. "I'll be back soon, though. I have to study the capsules some before I can make one for you, and I'll be in here to do that." He played with the softer hair on the back of my neck and head, running it through his fingers. "I want to create a world for just us..." Knives leaned his forehead against mine and looked at me with his brilliant sky blue eyes.
