The circuit shown below is a cheap and a very simple solution to our problem. The indicator presenter here actuates an active buzzer to provide audible warning when a given water level is reached. Since the water sensor and the driver circuit for the buzzer are contained on one PCB, the indicator, together with the 9v battery (optional, we use an adaptor for this or design our own powers supply but the advantage of battery is compactness and thus can be used especially where there is a wiring problem.

The resistor R1 is 470k,R2 is 100k,and R3 is 2k2 ohms. We can use simple buzzer (active piezo-ceramic resonator) or an intermittent type of buzzer. I suggest a PCB directly from Vega kits.
The diagram below shows a clap switch that can be built on a general purpose PCB or a Vera board, I suggest buying a PCB (or electronic kit) from the VEGA kit, which is quiet, famous in Mumbai electronics people’s world.
