Carl-Heinz Johannes Hatje

I met Rob for the first time back in 1996 when I visited his daughter Mindi. He had this particular personality which most people shyed away from, however that didn't fool me. I saw into his soul and saw the good wonderful loving father that he really was, which his affliction was suppressing. I knew he was a good man from the start. We both got along quite well, and a year later I became his son-in-law. Since then things were a "bumpy ride" with Rob and his wife Cassie and his kids (Tony and Mindi), but near the end, he made a change - a complete 180°. That should have proven to all that he really was a good man - a loving, giving, nurturing father. I will never forget him, as he's made a good LASTING impression on me. May he rest in peace and harmony.

Quotes from Rob's favourite film "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" He's really not dead, as long as we remember him. Of my friend I can say only this... of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human! All is well, and yet I can't help wondering about the friend I leave behind. It's a far far better thing I do, than I have ever done before - a far better resting place I go to, than I have ever known.
I AM Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on the ripened grain. I am the gentle Autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did NOT die. by unknown.
