Here are some of our camping experiences during the 2001 year.
 

We camped at Spectacle Pond near Island Pond, Vermont during the Memorial Day weekend. It was cool and cold and sometimes wet.  There is a protected loon nest in the pond and so there is a resident loon couple there that sing out in their haunting voices throughout the day.
 
 

We camped at Rollins Pond near Saranac Lake.  Nearby is Blue Mountain Lake, home of the famous Adirondack Museum.  From the museum is this spectacular view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
 
 
 

Our trip home from the Adirondacks ended with a trip on the ferry across Lake Champlain back to Burlington.
