In memory of Gilbert Duncan

HEPHIZBAH, Ga. - Gilbert Quentin Duncan, Jr.,
60, entered into rest Wednesday, July 30, 2003
at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August
2, 2003, at Windsor Spring Baptist Church with
the Rev. Paul Robertson officiating. Interment
will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with
full military honors accorded by the Ceremonial
Detachment of Fort Gordon. Mr. Duncan will lie
in state one hour prior to the service time.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife, Wahid Duncan,
three sons and daughter-in-law, Maurizo Duncan,
Brad and Lisa Duncan, and Kenneth Duncan; one
daughter, Judith D. Garner; one brother, Kenneth
Eugene Duncan; seven grandchildren, Alicia Duncan,
Calen Duncan, Sydney Duncan, Carsyn Duncan,
Quentin Duncan, Nicholas Duncan, and Brittany
Garner. Mr. Duncan was a native of Huntington,
West Virginia and a member of Windsor Spring
Baptist Church. He was a veteran of Vietnam and
retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years
of service. After his military career, he was
employed and later retired from Life Touch
Church Directory and was a member of the Good-
fellows Lodge. The family will receive friends
Friday, August 1, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Poteet Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3465 Peach
Orchard Rd., Augusta.
