He made us laugh.
He made us happy.
He made us his friends.
But now he is gone.
Why must we still smile?
Why must we still laugh?
Is it because although he is gone, we will join him in a while?

No new accompaniment he shall bring us.
No new laugher shall we hear from him.
But within us is the old.
Keeping us strong, keeping us going.
Although we go along without him,
We keep within us his passion, his spirit, his love.
It is our companion, along for the ride.
It is our journey's strength, the power to continue on.

For this we must laugh, we mustn't cry.
We continue on our journeys, with our companions by our sides
For this he would want most,
Although he did have a fondness for that stuff called toast.

This is why we must continue to laugh and smile.
Because he is not truely gone.
