1917 His family moves to Oosterbeek, Holland.
1918 Gets private lessons at the Hogher Technolgly School in Delft.
1919 Rejected for enlistment in the military.
1922 First print St. Francais sells in large numbers. Moves to Italy.
1924 Marries Jetta Umiker from Switzerland.
1925 Brother killed in mountaineering accident.
1930 First son, Arthur, is born.
1939 Father dies on June14th of this year.
1948 Shows off mezzotint works in Dewdrop.
1955 Escher was knighted
1965 Book Symmetry Aspects of M.C. Escher's Periodic Drawings
is published.
1970 The World of M.C. Escher in published.
