What is math? It is a discipline that seeks understanding of the patterns and structures of the human mind. Mathematics seeks the highest standards of understanding demanding difficulty in its foundations and in its development.
What is poetry? It is a form of imaginative literary expressions that make its effects by the sound and imagery of its language. Poetry allows the numerous emotions of human experiences to be transferred out of body and spirit into metrical language on to paper.

Poetry  is a universal language. It has been put to music for hundreds of years. Numbers like the words in poetry follow in set patterns and rhythms. An algebraic equation for example can begin a stanza of a poem. Just as poetry, mathematics is also a universal language. Its numeric patterns and equation have ancient roots in Egypt, Babylonia, and Greece. When one thinks of the Egyptian culture, the first thought at mind would be hieroglyphic inscriptions.  In the hieroglyphic inscriptions of 2600 BC types of poetry are found in the forms of laments, hymns, elegies, and odes.
In conclusion it is only through logic that poetry and math flow jointly. Their origins are primarily in accordance and both have made substantial contributions to our culture. Through math we have learned the patterns and structures seen in everyday life and with poetry we have learned new and enchanting forms of communication.
Let us ask ourselves two simple questions based solely on the existence and the harmony of  math and poetry. How would we build shelter without a simple area formula?  How would you woo your significant other without the rhythmic sweetness of iambic verse? Math and poetry have set the foundation of a growing society, that is eager and ready for new challenges, new experiences, and new beginnings.
