Welcome to the home of the Lady Dragons Lacrosse,
2003 Reserve SCC and Reserve State Champions

Hamden's girls began in 1999 as an unfunded club. Because the girls were so determined to take on other towns and show what they were made of, in 2000, the girls won thier battle and were given an unfunded team. That year went very well in both fundraising and in the games. In 2002, the girls were raised to the level of a funded team. This increased the  girl's confidence, they won 3 games, a marked improvement over their previous year's 1 gameTie.

This year, 2003, the girls have begun a freshmen team which will strongly contribute to the team's preparation and skills for the future. The girls hope to show off their outstanding improvement over last year and hope to win many more games this year.

And they did. For the 2003 season the Hamden Girls finished at 14-8; the winningist season ever for the program. They went to SCCs and States and arrived at the finals for both tournaments. Although they did not take home a trophy, the girls should be very proud of how well and how far they went this year. Congratulations.
