The hard work worth forgetting

The hard work worth forgetting,
Was all it was to you,
For me it was uplifting,
But you watched in delight,
And didn't see my passion,
You rejected my finish,
And left me trying again.
Once, Twice, Thrice I tried,
Each time you demanded more,
Leaving no credit.
I've watched others lifted up,
Envious, time and again,
I sink my head with tears,
Knowing of more work to come.
Tired in despair,
I fill myself with hope,
Hope of the last try,
That only God knows will work,
I crank up the volume,
This time I'll dance,
Without a stop to wipe sweat,
As I put elbow grease into it.
