Crossing the line,
that freshly painted
thin line.
I could have drawn
that simple line
and ran the other way
yet I stay
seeing how close
I could get
to that soft Chalk line

Breaking the rules,
vetoeing all
set in stone.
Those laws only I seem to obey.
I could have kept a low profile.
But I stayed borderline
guilty by association
pushing the limits
to see
just how far I could go

Unfairly playing games,
being a child,
stealing all the attention,
leaving none for you.
He was yours first,
and with morals
pushed aside
his heart in my teeth
Your tears on my feet
My stone heart cracks
