Organizing at HHT
This is a blog dedicated to the union organizing activity at HHT.
Open Mouth, Insert Foot
How appropriate as a title for this entry. HHT did that today by taking an anti-union stance. Ladies and gentleman, HHT has just insulted working men and woman from some of our biggest clients. Oh, Really ?!? Yes, oh really. HHT shot themselves in the foot with this meeting. I wonder what Kroger would think about doing business with an anti-union organization. In matter of fact, UFCW Local 911 represents Kroger in Northwest Ohio. Ooops. Didn't think about that one did you? How about our glorious leader being a consultant for General Motors? What would the UAW think about a two-faced bastard with his hand out for money? This is just the beginning of how stupid HHT will continue to act during the organizing process.

A few comments on the propaganda flyer are in order. First off, HHT doesn't have the guts to even put their name on the flyer. It seems like it was just thrown together at a moment's notice. It's funny how HHT is talking about promises. This is the pot calling the kettle black. HHT breaks promises left and right. I could go on and on about the pros of unionizing, but in the interest of not sounding like a broken record, I urge you to go do some research:

Union Busting

I have a contract for a local health organization that is represented by UFCW Local 911. This is a good representation of what we at HHT can have in hand. Wouldn't it be better to know what the rules are or the when raises are due? How about a process for discipline instead of being pulled into a meeting. Let's talk about "just cause" and how we need that to protect ourselves. A contract takes the guess work out. HHT thrives on guess work and use it to manipulate the employees. We need it in writing and contrary to what HHT says, this is still "at will" employment. Really it's "at will" rules to be used whenever management sees fit. Of course, HHT is opposed to third parties, but for too long they have run around with no regards to our well-being. Moving forward (*chuckle*), we need to forge ahead.

Stay tuned for more...
