Organizing at HHT
This is a blog dedicated to the union organizing activity at HHT.
I was a little troubled...

...with yesterday's meeting. If you attended the first one, then you know what I am talking about. First off, it's comforting to know that our supervisor is a moron. This solidifies my thoughts on him from the get-go. I don't know if he thought he was in a bar, but making a comment like, "show you the worm" or whatever he was babbling on about was a little inappropriate. It even took a lead worker to stop him by saying "that's enough". It doesn't surprise me considering he likes to scream at people behind closed doors and get physical with women. Yes, a little cross-check is being physical. Oh, and the threats are back. It didn't take too long to see the "flying monkeys"! If you don't know what I'm referring to, then think about the radio discussion.

Secondly, I about lost my lunch when the group is told "you know what I all think of you". Ok, enough with the lovey-dovey crap. The fact remains is that you specifically told other managers the health advisors were "worthless". In another meeting, you told me that "most health advisors don't know how to do their jobs". So, what does he really think of us? I'm still caught up on the change of attitude. Insult us yesterday and praise us today. Maybe he's a little bi-polar? Well, the company is a little bi-polar---not my words---but the supervisor's in C-bus.

Lastly, get ready for going back to midnights. It's inevitable with the push to start sharing desks. Who will this affect? Probably every on that works evenings. I'm still waiting for my all-day schedule that I was promised a year ago. Wait. What about the Saturday workers? Still doing that day, eh? How many of you were promised either a change to days or not working on the weekend when either: 1) more advisors or 2) C-bus call center opened? Now how many of you got what you were promised?

Let's sit down and think about this for a second. The only reason this is allowed to go on is because we allow it to. Ponder that...
