Greed times Two
While I was writing the previous post, I was thinking about another act of stupidity on behalf of our friends, HHT. I came in to work on Monday with real excitement over having a pizza party later on in the day. Yum, Yum, get some. Anyways, I looked through my e-mails and saw one from my lead worker. To sum it up, we should be blocking our 1 hour enrollment slot and need to shoot for 30 calls during this time. I thought it was 50 a couple months ago? Or was it work in the enrollment between advising sessions? I really don't remember because I'm told 57 different things and it changes every day/week. So, he followed up an e-mail to say I only made 26 enrollment calls on Friday. Oh my God! I am 4 short. Please, someone fire me now! Let's look at what I did on Friday: 25 advising session, 25 enrolled, 3 HRC advising sessions, 10 engaged, 1 final session. Geez, I must have been slacking...
I'm scratching my head trying to think of management's thought process on this. I know HHT is driven by money. Enrollment equals money. So, with $$$ in their eyes, they make shit up on the spot. When I was sitting down with the divisional director in December, I was told the standard they wanted to hold the call center to was different than the old "8 contacts an hour". After all, there is no point to having "points" with the incentives ripped away from us. I was told my objective was to get "3 advising sessions/hour and 1 enrollment/hour". This is in writing. I am meeting this objective and at times exceeding it. Why am I sent a bullshit e-mail to do more. I WILL NOT be a machine anymore. Most of us are sick of this and it's only going to get worse. I shit you not...
