I would like to share this with you...
This is a copy of an e-mail I received from the union that represents KC Metro Drivers:
Harris Health Trends Organizing Committee,
Thank you for your letter informing our union of your organizing efforts. I
am the recording secretary of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 587 in
Seattle Washington. Local 587 represents 4300 transit workers under six
labor agreements in three Washington Counties. Harris Health Trends
contracts with King County Metro for services provided to King County's
13,000 employees. As by far the largest bargaining agreement within King
County government Local 587 has a great deal of power in determining who
provides services. I will be printing the letter that follows this note in
the April edition of our news letter. Our news letter is well known, read
by our local politicians and articles are often picked-up by the Seattle
Times and Seattle Post Intelligencer. We mail out 800 copies of our news
letter across the United States and Canada. Good luck in your organizing
efforts and you can count on Local 587 to build a fire under the behinds of
Harris Health Trends.
In Solidarity,
Paul J. Bachtel
Recording Secretary
Local 587
