Princess Hinoto is a "dream-reader" who has the power to weave together dreams that will mirror the future. Through her powers she is able to show Kamui all of the possible outcomes for the future of Tokyo.

Hinoto does not speak throughout the entire movie- she communicates with the Dragons of Heaven (and whomever else she speaks to) through telepathy. And just in case you didn't know, she's really tiny (her hands are those of a child) and she apparently doesn't have the ability to walk as all she can do is crawl.

Her role in "normal" life is to weave dreams for politicians, but once the final battle for the fate of the world began, she knew that she must weave dreams and try everything possible to stop the Dragons of Earth, led by her sister Kanoe. Even though they are on opposing sides, they still care for eachother as shown in the end of the movie.

Name: Kanoe

Just like her sister, Kanoe has the ability to weave dreams that will mirror the future, but unlike her sister she has chosen to weave dreams for the Dragons of Earth. When she kidnapped Kotori she accidentally caused Fuma to come through her dream. Once he had forced himself into the dream she immediately realized that he was Kamui's twin star, and that he had the power that she so desperately wanted from Kamui. Now that she had Fuma and no longer needed Kamui she began to warp Fuma's mind and turn him against his childhood friend, and ultimately the Dragons of Heaven.

Not knowing how psychopathic Fuma had become, the Dragons of earth were caught off-guard when he began to kill them. Back at the Dragons of Heaven HQ Kamui was mourning over the death of Kotori (who had been killed by her own brother when he removed the sword from her) Fuma returns with Kanoe and stabs her in front of Hinoto. Even though they were on opposite sides, Kanoe and Hinoto share their last moments on earth together and Kanoe dies in Hinoto's arms.

Name: Kamui Shirou
Meaning of his name: His name has two meanings. 1) One who represenst the majesty of God. Meaning he will save the Earth 2) One who hunts the majesty of God. Meaning he will destroy the Earth. Thus the fate of the Earth is in his hands.

Kamui is the main character of X. Not much is known about his past other than the fact that Kotori and Fuma were his closest childhood friends and that he was very close with his mother. It is also not clear why he left everyone in the first place, but his reason for returning to Tokyo was the dream that opened X. His mother warned him, and instructed him to return to Tokyo to protect the ones that he cares most about.

Initially, Kamui wants nothing to do with defending Tokyo, or even the world for that matter. He snaps at Hinoto and exclaims that he only cares about protecting Kotori and Fuma. Unfortunately for him, Kanoe and the Dragons of Earth get a hold of both Kotori and Fuma before anyone knows what's going on... and that all but made up Kamui's mind for him.

As the story progresses, we never really see Kamui's full fighting potential, but from what he shows he truly must be "the power of God," as explained by Hinoto when she reveals what his name really means, and where it came from.

To battle against Fuma and the sword of the Dragons of Earth ( That was "extracted" from Kotori ) Kamui has his own sword, which was given to him in the same dream that caused his return.

Name: Seiichirou Aoki

Aoki is one of the more conservative looking members of the Dragons of Heaven, but don't let his appearence fool you because he is also one of the bravest of the Dragons.

His main reason for fighting is to live a peaceful life with his family. In the end it him and Nataku, and in an amazing fight they both plummeted to their deaths off of the top of a building... Aoki knew what he was doing, and sacrificed himself for the Dragons of Heaven and his family.

Name: Sorata Arisugawa

Sorata's the tough guy of the Dragons of Heaven and has an attitude that just can't be beat! Even though he's such a joker, his self assigned job as Arashi's guardian is taken very seriously, as we see later in the movie that they really cared for each other.

As Sorata and Arashi meet Fuma in their final battle, they are all but overtaken by his immense powers. Attempting to save Arashi Sorata is struck so hard in the back that he becomes more pissed than hurt. In a blind rage, he charges his power to control lightning and attempts a full frontal attack against Fuma... something he knew wouldn't work, but he would've done anything to try and protect his beautiful partner.

As he lay there dying, Arashi ran to his side and all he could talk about was how happy he was that he died protecting Arashi. He was just the best.

Name: Arashi Kishuu

Kishu is one of the coolest characters in X and just has the coolest hair ^_- She is one of the strongest and most skilled of the Dragons of Heaven, and was teamed up with Sorata. Like Kamui, her sword was a part of her soul and would be summoned when there was a battle to be fought. It would come out of her left hand immediately and she was a very skilled sword fighter.

Sadly enough when Sorata and Kishu are fighting an impossible battle against the maniacal Fuma, Sorata vows to protect her in his non-chalant yet serious way, only to be killed trying to protect her. She ran to his side as he lay there dying, and her tears were all that were needed to show how she truly felt about her guardian. When her back was turned as she grieved over Sorata's death Fuma killed her with his sword and ended her pain.

Name: Karen Kasumi

Growing up with a horrible past, Karen has started to grow fond of Tokyo so she wants to protect it. Even though she had a horrible childhood here, this was the only place she could call home.

Her special ability is to control fire, and I'm guessing that's why her final showdown was against Shogo whose special ability was to control water. Their battle took place in the subway, and their final moments were spent on the train and the train tracks. Shogo was on top of the train and was laughing thinking it would kill Karen who was on the train tracks when it hit her. Unfortunately for him she used her power to cause the impact to annihilate both of them.

Name: Subaru Sumeragi

Subaru has a kind of grudge against Seishirou. They have met before in Tokyo Babylon. They were good friends. Seishirou pretended to be a nice guy working as a veternarian. But in reality he is a cold-blooded assasin. The Sakurazukamori Clan and the Sumeragi Clan have always been enemies. Subaru saw Seishirou kill a little girl when he was younger and Seishirou was suppose to kill him but instead Seishirou wanted to try to make Subaru into his successor so he marked Subaru's hands with the six sided Jewish star. Subaru was too soft to be the successor of the Sakurazukamori Clan so Seishirou had to kill him. Subaru's twin sister Hokuto decided to change Subaru's destiny so she asked Seishirou to kill her instead so to spare Subaru's life. Seishirou accepted and now Subaru has vowed to get revenge and kill Seishirou if that is the last thing he does.

Name: Yuzuriha Nekoi

Yuzuriha is the youngest of all of the Dragons ( both of Earth and Heaven ), having just barely entered junior high school. Her counterpart oddly enough is the Gigantic Kusanagi ( who was about 4 feet taller than her)... And the way she knew that he was a Dragon of Earth was because he was petting her spirit dog, which no one but the Dragons can see.

Sadly, Yuzuriha died defending Kamui from a deadly shot, and her only regret was that she was so young that she never had a chance to fall in love anyone.

Name: Fuma Mono
Meaning of his name: His name in kanji could mean "sealing the truth" or "the sealed truth".
Age: 17

Eye Color: Brown
Nationality: Japanese
Family: His mom Saya, his dad Kyougo, and his sister Kotori
Occupation: A student
Abilities: He has the same powers as Kamui because he is Kamui's twin star. Also he has the power to look like people, according to the peer's wishes. He know's what people are wishing and who they are wishing to see.

Fuma is one of Kamui's child-hood friends and brother of Kotori. When the Dragons of Earth initially attack they are after Kotori because they wish to use her to "persuade" Kamui to be on their side. While Shogo and Nataku are distracting the Dragons of Heaven and Kamui Kanoe pulls Kotori into her dream. Seeing this Fuma pursues Kotori and forces his way into Kanoe's dream.

Once inside the dream, Fuma confronts Kanoe and she is absolutely stunned that Fuma was able to get into the dream without her wanting him to be there. Thinking about it, she realizes that Fuma is in fact Kamui's twin star and his role in fate is to fill the opposite place that Kamui chooses to fill.

Through a strange dream in which Fuma sees Kamui kill Kotori, Kanoe is able to trick Fuma into thinking he is Kamui, and to stop Kamui he must kill him.

When Fuma begins to attack the Dragons of Heaven, he begins to rapidly change and eventually became devoid of emotion- and with one thing in mind: Kill everyone. Unfortunately for the Dragons of Earth, they fell into that category and he began to obliterate them as well as go after the Dragons of Heaven. As you can guess, the final showdown is between Kamui and his twin star- Fuma.

Name: Shogo Asagi (Anime Only)

Shogo along with Nataku distracted the Dragons of Heaven when Kanoe was kidnapping Kotori. He has a really cool power too- He can totally manipulate water both offensively and defensively. Our first glimpse at this power is the "razor blade rain" that strikes Kotori, Kamui and Fuma at the Togakushi Shrine.

Shogo's final battle takes place in the subway against the lingerie wearing Dragon of Heaven Karen Kasumi whose power is to control fire. He gets a little zealous and tries to ride a train into her, but it is his undoing as she causes a massive explosion and manages to kill both of them.

Not much is known about this character. He was created only for the X Movie. His part in the Dragons of Earth in the manga was replaced by Kuzuki Kakyou.

Name: Yuuto Kigai

Yuuto seemed to be closer to Satsuki and Kanoe than any of the other Dragons of Earth as he was usually seen in their underground hideout. In fact Beast was quite jealous of Yuto ( Satsuki seemed to have a thing for him ) as it would not help him according to Satsuki's commands as Fuma coldly and maliciously killed him, even though they were both on the same side. Other than this not much else is known about Yuuto.

Name: Kakyou Kuzuki (Manga Only)

Okay, he is the guy that doesn't show up in X after a lot of volumes. He has always been asleep and is another powerful dreamgazer. His only wish is to die so he can be with the one he loves which is Hokuto! Heard that name before? You know, she is Subaru's twin sister. Kakyou and Hokuto were suppose to be destined lovers. After much explaining from my friend, it meant that if Hokuto didn't die, then those two would have met and would have fallen in love. But for those of you smart people out there, you already understood that concept. How does Kakyou know about this? Well, he is a powerful dreamgazer, remember? But now, since she's dead...Here's a picture of Hokuto. Then again, have two! For you Tokyo Babylon fans out there, you can see that she looks alot different than when she was in Tokyo Babylon. I didn't recognize her myself until my friend assured me that it was her. I think she looks a lot better.

Name: Nataku

Nataku is a genderless character with the voice of a woman and the body and features of a man. He is the perfect assassin. He is a scientific experiment conducted to bring Kazuki Toujyou back to life, made up of artificial human parts and some of her father's limbs. He is a biroid that does feel physically and emotionally.

Its final battle is against Aoki, and they both plummeted to their death after it attempted to finish him off... to its dismay he grappled on to it and caused it to fall off of the top of a very high building.

Name: Seishirou Sakurazuka

Seishiro is another character that little is known about as he was one of the first characters that we see fighting ( against Subaru ). He is very powerful, and while he and Subaru are fighting he displays a great fighting technique... Turning into a dragon simultaneously with Subaru. Their clash instantly killed both.

Name: Kusanagi Shiyuu

Poor Kusanagi... even though he was one of the physically larger characters of the movie, he was killed with the twitch of an eyebrow, by someone on his own side - after his arm was torn off by Yuzuriha's spirit dog. Some people have no luck! All that was really displayed by him was throwing a truck at Kamui, and trying to kill Yuzuriha (his counterpart).

Name: Satsuki Yatouji

Satsuki is one of the more intelligent members of the Dragons of Earth, as she is their computer genius of the group. Her computer (nicknamed Beast) is used to gather information about Kamui's arrival, and the deaths as a result of battles.

Oddly enough Beast is so attached to Satsuki that it actually gets jealous when she diverts attention away from it... Something that causes her demise. When Fuma begins to destroy Yuto, Satsuki commands Beast to protect Yuto, but it does not obey her commands.Instead it kills her and begins to connect to her once more just repeating "Satsuki is mine. I will give her to no one."

Beast - This is what the mammoth computer of the Dragons of Earth looks like. It has the ability to "keep score" and even has some offensive uses as the mechanical tentacles are used to try and grab Kotori in the beginning. It is as stated previously very attached to Satsuki, and eventually causes her death!

Name: Kotori Mono
Age: 16

Occupation: She is a high school student
Abilities: She can communicate with animals and plants. She can also see the future in dreams. She has the potential to be a dreamgazer but she doesn't know how.
Tarot Card: Volume 6; The Lovers

Although Kotori is not a willing member of the Dragons of Earth, she does fill Magami's (Kamui's Mother) opposite spot... As Kamui's mother gave him the sword with which to hold the fate of the world in his hands, Kotori also possessed a sword, and it was what sealed her fate. When Magami gave Kamui her sword she died rather horribly, and it was even worse for Kotori because her own brother Fuma ripped it out of her, leaving Kamui to hold her limp body. Poor Kotori was probably the most tragic character in X, because no one ever told her what was going on, and if you thought things got complicated, imagine how she felt.

Name: Tooru Magami

Tooru and Saya were very good friends, they were very close. They were soulmates and Tooru loves Saya. Saya married into the Monou family to bear a Holy Sword in Tooru's place. When a Holy Sword is taken out, the person will be ripped to pieces and killed. Tooru felt really bad about it so she and Kamui moved away from Tokyo. 6 years later, two weeks before Kamui was to return to Tokyo she gave her son some last advice and Tooru died in flames as Earth's Kagi-Ni (Sacrificial Shadow). She welcomed her own death as to make amends for her sins. (It is suspected that Kyougo, Saya's husband, might have also fathered Tooru's child, Kamui.)

This is where it gets a little complicated. The last name Magami is a Kagi-Ni (Sacrificial Shadow) tag, meaning whoever had that last name becomes a Kagi-Ni. As said, it is a sacrificial shadow. The Kagi-Ni are people who take the pains of important political people, or rulers, gangsters, etc. There are like substitutes, dolls used to protect important people. The Kagi-Ni are linked to a person to protect them so Kagi-Ni can never die! They must protect their own lives because if a Kagi-Ni dies, the person that is linked to the Kagi-Ni will die also. So it is really weird that Tooru would give up her own life as purgatory. There was a conversation with Kamui, Arashi and Sorata where they discussed the subject of the Kagi-Ni and how there were no high-class political person, big time gangsters, etc. who died at the time that Tooru died and no one was burned up in flames because if it was anyone important, the news would have announced it. There was no trace of anyone dying at that time but Tooru was linked to someone...question is, who was it? Strange...
