Hi, friends, I'm boring now, so I try to write about Tezuka Osamu. Please forgive me coz' I don't have his picture. Okay, .... . I will added picture later on.... Tezuka Osamu (1928-1989), He's a Japanese comic strip artist 'n animator that has success with Japan's comic book industry. Tezuka's style continues to influence many Japanese comic strip and animation artists. But maybe much of his work focuses on the subject of social responsibility toward nature and humanity.^_^ He was born in Osaka(Japan, u already know, right??). Although he has artistic talent at his young age, he enrolled in medical school( I dunno why??) and has graduating from Osaka University on 1952. By after that he had already become famous as a comic book artist, having sold more than 500,000 copies of his work Shin Takara Jima (The New Treasure Island, 1947, Oroo!!! ^_^x). In that comic book, Tezuka used a number of creative techniques, including unique descriptions of sounds and depictions. Coz' of this there is a fact that Tezuka influenced more by motion-picture techniques for the animation of the Max Fleischer and Walt Disney studios than by traditional comic style. In 1961, he founded his own production company, 'Mushi' ( really funny name ^_^)i, where he developed the first Japanese animated series for television, "Tetsuwan Atom" (Mighty Atom, u dunno right?? But I think u know 'bout Astro Boy, right?? It's Astro Boy!!!). In 1965 Tezuka introduced the use of color in the made-for-television animated series "Jungle Taitei" (Jungle Emperor), also known as "Kimba, the White Lion." It was also an international success (very success?? Ooohh, I like it^_~)). These animated series were based on two of Tezuka's print comics, which had become classics during the 1950s. The characters Astro Boy and Kimba continue to be icons of Japanese popular culture( Popular?? Ohhh..). He completed two long motion pictures, Tenrankai no E (Pictures at an Exhibition, 1966) and 2772, Ai no Cosmozone (2772, The Cosmic Zone of Love, 1980). The latter film was based on a multipart comic strip about a phoenix that he had started in 1954. He also created a number of award-winning simple films, including Osu (Male, 1962) and Onboro Film (Broken Down Film, 1985). nb: Don't u think Tezuka is great?? Maybe so...^_^ |
