So many things have happened in the past few weeks. First of all I want to tell you all that I have quit my first job (with EDS Canada, used to be SHL Systemhouse). I have been with the company for about 2 years. Not until recent that I have applied for a company which I kind of wait for sometimes ago. When I applied in late June, I got an interview few days after then they offered me a position. I was excited actually!!!

My last day with EDS was on 7th of July. So I gave 2 weeks notice and took half of my cumulated holidays to San Francisco during the last week of my working days. And I didn't start right after instead I took another week off to spend with my family in Edmonton. As you all might know that it will be another 3 months when I am allow to take days off.

My trip to SF was tiring but lots of fun. I went with 3 good friends of mine and everyday was like new adventure for us. We walk a lot, eat a lot, and went out early in the morning but back to hotel late. We rented a car the first 2 days then walk around the remaining 2 days. We drove to a restaurant where is about an hour driving from downtown just to try the famous dishes. We even drove to another city called Monterey where is about 2 and a half hour driving from SF. On our way, we were actually driving along the Pacific Ocean.

We explore almost the whole city. Tried fresh lobster at the fisherman wharf. Went to Chinatown quite a lot. They said is the largest in world. Tasted some delicious food which I have not for a long long time...

After my trip, the very next day I went back to EDS main office and returned my laptop, and some other EDS belonging... Then the following Wednesday, I drove back to Edmonton. I didn't drive back right after I came back was because there are still some unpacking needed to be done. (Move to new place in beginning of June).

We (me and my roomate) have sold our car and so wouldn't be back to Edmonton till I get a new car. Probably in mid August. Feel happy that I would be able to spent some times with my family in Edmonton. I started this new job the day after I came back from Edmonton. Which was the Monday (July 17th) just past. I am quite occupied since the first day I started. We have two friends who just immigrated here last week (they are from China). They are actually Michelle's old friends. Have been with them a lot since I came back from Edmonton. Tomorrow we will drive to Banff and Lake Louis.

There is a release on the project I am on now by the end of August. I can imagine investing more time in work since I am still new to the company. There are still a lot of catch up... Hopefully I can get familiarize as soon as possible.

Sorry my friends, that I won't be able to keep in touch as often. But will try to write as soon as I have some spare time.
