Natural Studies//HOME.
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
This is the homepage of Natural Studies, the first  nature-based club of NEHS, National Experimental High School at the Hsinchu Science Park.
  The purpose of Natural Studies is simple. Natural Studies is a club composed of high school volunteers who teach fifth to sixth graders. The topics covered come from an a collection of experiments the Natural Studies crew has collected, adapted, and modified to better suit the learning experience of an elementary student.
  There are four student- teacher groups in Natural Studies. Students switch study groups approximately once a month, allowing them to cover four selected topics. These topics are as shown below:

  Introduction to Microscopy - elementary students have the priviledge of using microscopes with an objective of 1500X to view bacteria, fungi, pollen, and many other microscopic objects.

  Biome Studies- students learn the general types of biomes, and explore living examples of several biomes.

  Stimuli Studies: students learn the concept of stimuli and organism reactions. Worm and pillbugs are raised in this lab.

  Plant tour- students view live examples of the common plants of Taiwan, both foreign and indigenous.

  Our goal is simply to provide students with a supplementary science experience? Why? Because biology is fun, and because it's about time students realized this as well...

This is one word in the picture they call 'Nature'.
