The Day when there will be no Sun or Moon,...
Where will you get the light from?
Allah says, "On the Day you will see the believing men and women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], 'Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally.' That is what is the great attainment." [57:12]
All Prophets washed their hands and faces and all Prophets bowed infront of their Only Lord.
How can I make my face radiant? People who wash their faces five times a day or may be more, (and do ablution/wudu), who put their foreheads on the ground, five times a day and sometimes even more than that, they are the ones who will have radiant and bright faces, on the Day of Qiyamah. Every time you wash your hands, faces, arms and feet, you are getting rid of the sins (and the germs) that you committed by these body parts and also you are recharging them for the Day of Qiyamah when there will be no light and at that time, your forehead and arms would lit up like flash lights, they would shine as bright as a moon. And all that hard work and struggle of washing your face again and again before prayers, will pay off, big time. So don't feel lazy to do a fresh wudu before each prayer, even if shaitan tries his best to stop you from doing so.
Prophet (saw) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called, "Ghurrul Muhajjaleen', the bright armed and bright faced, from the traces of ablution/ wudu on them. Therefore whosoever can increase the area of his radiance, should try to do so by always performing ablution/ wudu before the prayers " [Bukhari-Kitabul Wudu]]
Allah says, "Some faces on that Day will be radiant (bright and happy), looking towards their Lord; and some faces on that Day will be miserable, expecting the worst (that some great disaster is about to fall on them.)" [75:22-25]
Why do we need a radiant face? On the Day of Judgement, male and female believers will be granted a light that will reveal for them, the Path leading to paradise.
This Path will be a bridge stretching over Hell.
This overpass between Heaven and Hell will be sharper than a sword and thinner than a hair.

People will cross it in a manner concordant with their deeds: some will pass like a winged horse, some like a stallion, and some will gallop. Others will just walk, and still others will crawl on it. A group of believers will fall into the Fire and  be caught by hooks. Polytheists and unbelievers will fall into Hellfire before going on the Path.
Ok picture yourself getting to the Path and looking at the Hell below you, deep black and dark with its blazing Fire rising flames, and you walk a little and crawl a little.

Imagine yourself glancing at the black hell below, hearing its breathing fire and you are ordered to proceed on the Path inspite of your unsteady feet and trembling heart.

Envision people close to you, stumbling and slipping down, caught with hooks by the tormentors of Hell.

What a grisly picture! What a steep climb! What a narrow path!
No one will be spared Hellfire other than pious human beings and jinns, who have believed in Allah and His messengers, and followed what has been revealed to them.
A bridge thinner than hair,...a spider's web is thinner than hair. That bridge is not only thin but also sharp like a sword and it is the only Bridge that leads to Heaven. Faster you cross it, better it is for you, because the sight of rising flames of Hell would be enough to make you stumble and miss your step, even if you had light to guide you.
But Allah will make it easy for those who have been praying days and nights, all their lives, and asking and begging Allah to make the Day of Qiyamah easy for them.
Ask a miner how far and how fast can he go in a dark tunnel without that flash light on his forehead!!!
What do you think? Those people who leave everything aside to do wudu and pray are crazy? They are working hard to earn Jannah and if you didn't strive for it than surely you dont deserve it.
Levels of Radiance: Stronger the light your forehead and arms will give out, farther you would be able to see and faster you will be able to cross that bridge without noticing the horrors and heat of the Hell. Just crossing of the bridge would be a punishment itself for some people, who would have very low and dim beams of light in front of them,........how would it feel if you are driving on a very dark narrow bridge on a huge hill top and your headlights are as low as a night light. So recharge your face as often as possible.
Don't need to buy expensive batteries to recharge your flashlight (for the darkest Day of your afterlife), all you need is some water. And if you don't have water than some dust and stones can also be a used. Water and earth,....two ingredients needed for the recharging process.
