This section of my site is dedicated to that rare, mysterious and maybe even false phenomenen, bonding. We wrote down everything we know about it and if you have some info about it that we don't, please mail us!
First off, I'll give a description of bonding which is most commonly used. Bonding usually occurs between 2 Sayians but can be formed between a Sayian and a member of different species too. A bond can starts unwillingly, if the two really like/love eachother, sometimes without them even knowing. Over time the bond will start to grow stronger, forming a physical link between two friends, lovers, whatever. Through this bond it is said they share thoughts, 'sense' eachother and have to be close to eachother as much as possible for in a further stage of the bond, it would be terribly painfull for both of them to be apart for too long. The bond is usually completed by the two biting eachother in the lower part of the neck, creating a permanent scar that shows the person is taken. If the two do stay apart for too long and for some reason, decide to stay away from eachother, the mark will slowly start to fade but itīll never fully disappear, together with the link they share.
No one knows if this bonding thing really excists, it is said to have started in a fanfiction a long time ago and it appearently just interetsted so many people, that they used it too. Some people do say it does excist in the manga-anime, they say that that is why Bulma wore a scarf during the Buu saga and that Chi Chi always wears a high collor. Although this doesnt explain why the men donīt. Also, it would explain how the īmatesī seem to sense when the other is in trouble. So this all remains a mistery, and that is exacly how I think people like it...
