Irish Setter breeder, Lucy Jane Myers, Draherin Kennels, Minnisota, saw Patrick Redjacket " ... at a show and told the owner that if he ever wanted to get rid of him let her know. He later wrote her and she purchased him for seventy-five dollars. He never finished due to his early death, but when bred to Ch. Thenderin Elixer he produced the Best In Show bitch, Ch. Draherin Echo of Elixer" (exerpted from Irish Setters Today, Pat Gallagher, Tentagel Inc., 1977, p. 77).
The May 1956 issue of Dog World reported the tragic loss of Patrick Redjacket by Lucy Jane Myers. " The late Patrick Redjacket had five Best of Breeds, a second and fourth in group, total of thirteen points at the time of his death on January 13, 1956.
