This is a 115-year-old portrait of Rover, an Irish Setter, from The Dogs of Great Britain, America, and Other Countries, published in New York in 1884. "Macdona's Rover was a littermate to Plunket, and was as prominant on the bench as Plunket was in the field" (Denlinger, 1949).
