We were held at Pitlochry for nearly half an hour to
let the sleeper past; we were running late due to a
duff engine on 170401- this then meant that the 0908
Perth-Glasgow QS would not be held for us.

170401 then detatched from 158723, moved out to under
the bridge just south of Perth station, and reversed
into platform 7, where it waited for around 5 mins
before heading back out to under the bridge, and
returning to platform 4 to pick up 158723 again. The
train then departed at around 1000, having spent
nearly half an hour mucking about in Perth- it was
meant to be in Edinburgh by this point!
158715 "Haymarket" was in the bay platform at Perth.

On arrival at Glasgow Queen St, 158732 was in platform
7 and 156450 was in platform 5. With around 10
minutes before our train left, and 158732 switched
off, this was quite worrying.
Anyway, 1940 came and went,and still there were no
other trains in the station. Eventually 170470
arrived, and was used to form a train to Dunblane.
170404 and 158702 arrived from Edinburgh and were duly
uncoupled.
Before we left on 158702, 156467 and 158720 had
arrived.
At Perth were 158735, 158738, 150283, 158715, 170403
and an unidentified 156 in the southern bays, 158734
forming our connection to Inverness and 158701+158728
in the northern bay.
4D66 1944 Inverness-Mossend passed us at Pitlochry,
and the sleeper followed somewhere over Drumochter
(67028 providing the power).
Millburn Yard contained 47781, 37415, 37428 and 66113,
with 158725, 158704 and 158740 being in Inverness
station.
