We began our school life as many individual students, but
left as one - The Class of 72. Highlands graduates are a special community.
After we left school, we all scattered to different areas of the globe to live
our lives and make our mark in the world. Let us rejoice for all of us who have
lived, but let us take a moment to remember those classmates who are no longer
with us. Some had just finished school while others lost their lives just
recently. Some went on to perform great works, but most lived like the majority
of you and I, having children, raising them, working to earn a living, and
contributing as best we can to society. We were blessed by their presence in one
way or another, regardless of the length of their time with us. Now it is time
to treasure the moments we had together. Though absent from our world, they are
forever in our memories. |
