Who says all Strat Gamers are guys?
My wife's name is Katie.  She has always been a huge baseball fan despite no one in her family having played.  You can
find her every year at the Frederick Keys opening day and quite often at games through the season. Katie loves going on dates with her husband to baseball games and has made road trips to other minor league ball parks on the spur of the moment.

For her wedding anniversary in 1999, she took a day trip up and back to the Hall of Fame, a 6 hour trip. Her love of the
game is evident by having served as a Team Mom for her 9 year old step-son's team for two seasons in a row.  She was also selected as the Team Mom for the Upper Montgomery County (UMAC) 8 year old All-Star team.

Katie has been interested in and has become a Strat-O-Matic enthusiast since 1996.  Her team is the Germantown Whistlepigs (her hometown).  Whistlepigs is obvious since she loves "Whistlepigs", i.e. groundhogs.  None of that is surprising as she is a country girl at heart. The league she belongs to is the family run Piedmont Baseball League, where her husband serves as comissioner and sort of overall manager of some of the teams.  The criteria for her team is that they can make the "All Chick Team"- hence she has players like Brady Anderson, Mike Piazza, Curt Schilling and Jeff Bagwell.

To the most "Babe" manager in all of Stratdom...my wife Katie,
Bob Smith
