ASCC SOLO I #1 June 17th,2001 AMP |
Solo 1's are something new to ASCC's schedule in the last couple of years, after about a ten year layoff. Basically it is a contest to see who can set the fastest qualifying lap from a standing start. Our first event of the year was held under sunny skies on Sunday the 17th of June. This was also a good chance to shake down the new differential. We had been doing some practising on Saturday and I though I was getting the hang of it. So off to the event we go. There was a good turnout of probably 20 cars or so, with some nice BMW's and a few open wheel cars. Our times were competitive in the IT class until we blew out an outer CV and had to pack it in for the day. We ended up 3rd in IT class, but more importantly, we got a feel for what to expect at speed for the next race weekend on the 24th. Check out the write up about the event, along with pictures and results at the Radis Motorsports website. |
