Welcome,
Keidels and family friends!
I trust
you all had a great Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve! We
struggled along as usual and apologize for not sending out tons of
Christmas cards, as is our usual custom. I answered most all of the
ones we received, but did so generally by letter. My color printer is
acting up and I could not afford to have color copies made in any
case. One of the nicest cards received was this one from Levi O.
Keidel R133 in Fort Wayne, Indiana:
This
great shot shows Levi and his wife Eudene in the center with their
children and grand children surrounding them. On the far left sits
Perry Keidel with his wife Monica and his daughters Alexandria,
Andrea and Angela. Son Paul (in the white shirt) with spouse Marian
and sons Jayson and Nathan. On the right we have Levi's daughter
Priscilla with husband Bob Miller and kids David and Emily; and on
the far right sits daughter Ruth with hubby Jonathan Clemens and kids
Carla, Chris, Hana, and Andrew. This picture is a real coup for Levi,
as he usually has his offspring scattered all over the United States,
if not the world! About a third of the people in this picture were
born in various places in Africa and Asia.
Levi Onesiam Keidel is an oft published author, as is his wife
Eudene. Quite a few years ago, I found myself in the local library
doing an "ego search" in the author directory. I found Levi's name
with an address in Canada. I sent him an introductory letter,
explaining my undertaking of cataloguing and indexing known Keidels
as well as publishing the family newsletter. Unfortunately, this
letter was returned to me as undeliverable! Almost a year later, I
received a letter from Levi !! He was contacting me! My name and
endeavor had been passed to him by yet another Keidel. He then became
a regular recipient of The Keidel Update, as I became a reader of his
books. If any of you are not yet faliliar with his writings, go to
your local library and look him up in the card catalog, which by now
has hopefully been transferred to computer.
The
"Free Spirited Keidels" at home!
Now here
is a truly unusual view: Ed and Virginia Keidel K111 actually on
their home turf. They are lakeside in Chicago!
Here
they got to spend time with their family and even get some fishing
in. Here are son Ken Keidel, Ed, Katherine (Wayne's wife and Jaqui's
mother), Jaqueline, Virginia and son Wayne Keidel. The fish, I think,
were not related.

Another shot of Jaqueline Keidel; her little sister
Jessica is waterborne!
This great shot of those two really belongs in my
other newsletter: Grumpy-Talk
Let me relay some greetings to special friends:

ANNIVERSARY to Jerry and Janelle Keidel in Michigan, Thelma and Bill
Triplett in Pennsylvania , and Wilfried and Irmgard Keidel in
