The shots below are from one of the most tragic scenes in the series. It's when Shu (played by Hikaru) tells Takashi (Taiyo) that he's a traitor and that they are NOT friends any longer.
On that same night Takashi will jump off the roof in a desparate albeit unsuccessful suicide attempt. And when Shu finds out on the next day, he starts his career as a heroin addict that finally lands him in jail.
I consider myself very lucky that I had this tree for myself for just a few moments because when I was there every other minute there were new people coming to see this now very famous tree, to have their picture taken in front of it and to break off twigs to keep as a souvenir....
And on that little white pole near the tree people would write down their statements of love for Hikaru, Taiyo and Yabu...
