How Do I Get There?

Music starts and we see Duo being pulled along by Hilde. Duo is wearing a simple black t-shirt and baggy jeans. Hilde is dressed in a tight shirt with a smilely face on the middle and white capris. The scenery tells us that they are having a good time painting the town red.

We’ve always been the best of friends

No secrets and no demands.

Hilde and Duo are now in a small café. Duo is absorbed in an arcade game sitting in the corner. Hilde is at the table, sipping on her milkshake.

"Son of a… I’ll get even!" Duo shouted at the game. Which got him many strange looks.

Hilde giggles and then blushes.

But suddenly from somewhere out of the blue,

I see a different light around you.

Hilde and Duo are now at the front door of Hilde’s apartment. Duo is jumping up and down, mumbling something about missing the game. The door clicks open and Duo runs to the Tv. Turning it on he sits down on the sofa. Hilde puts her things on the counter in the kitchen, then joins him to watch the game.

One thing I haven’t told you,

I just want to hold you, never let go.

"I need to know," She whispers.

"Did ya say something babe?" Duo asks.

"No, just thinking out loud." Hilde says, blushing.

Duo shakes his head and puts his full attention back to the game. Hilde watches Duo more than the game.

Hilde is now getting dressed for bed. She slips off her shirt, replacing it with one of Duo’s old ones. It reaches her knees, which makes it a nice bed time shirt. Plus it still smelt like Duo, and Hilde was somehow comforted by his smell of bitter cinnamon.

You probably think I’ve lost my mind,

Taking that chance, crossing that line.

A knock is heard on her door.

"Hilde can is come in?" Duo’s soft voice asks.

"Of course." Hilde smiles as Duo walks in wearing his chibi Deathscythe boxers.

"Hilde, this may sound strange, but can I sleep in your bed tonight?" Duo blushed and looked at the floor.

Hilde stared at him, confused. Then it clicked. The past few nights, she had heard Duo moaning in his room across the hall. She would walk in and find him in a nightmare.

She nodded her head and he climbed in her queen bed. She followed him. At first it was a little weird, but Hilde soon fell asleep, comfortable.

But I promise to be truer than true.

Dreaming every night with these arms around you.

Hilde is in a beautiful meadow. The sun is shining and a spring is flowing steadily. Hilde leans back into a soft chest. Turning she see it to be none other than Duo. He has his shirt off and is damp from the spring water. She sighs contentedly and closes her eyes. A hand is placed under her chin, and she opens her eyes. Duo’s violet ones are looking straight in her blue green ones. They both mover closer and closer, till they are centimeters apart.

Hilde opens her eyes, only to find it a dream. Hoping that last night wasn’t a dream ether, she looked over and see Duo happily sleeping. Hilde sighs and lays back in bed.

I can’t wait any longer,

This feeling’s getting stronger.

"Help me find a way." She prays.

Hilde wakes up to the smell of something good cooking in the kitchen. Getting up, she walks into the kitchen and finds Duo still in his pj’s cooking breakfast. Hilde giggles as a spark of grease from the bacon pops at him. Turning Duo spots her hiding place.

"I see that my sleeping beauty is awake." He teases.

Hilde sighs and sits down at the table. Duo notices this and turns off the oven, reckoning this might take awhile.

The shortest distance between two points, is a straight line.

But I’ll climb any mountain that you want me to climb.

The perfect combination is your heart and mine.

Darling won’t you give me a sign?

Hilde lays her head down on the table and feels tears coming on. Duo sees this and suddenly regrets saying what ever he did.

"Hilde, babe, I’m sorry for whatever I did. And I while I don’t yet know what it is, I would like a chance to go to my room and think about it."

Hilde lifts her head up and stars at him. Then she starts to burst out laughing, leaving Duo very confused.

Hilde is now calmed down and laying on the couch in Duo’s lap. She closes her eyes and thinks about her dream. She feels a hand lift her chin up. Opening her eyes she sees Duo’s violet eyes. Thinking this must be a dream, she puts her arms around his neck and pulls him in closer. They both share a long awaited kiss with each other. The kiss is full of passion and love, all of what they feel for each other. They reluctantly pull away to catch their breath. Hilde smiles at Duo’s confused look.

"Bet ya never thought I would do that!" She giggled.

Duo shook his head. "Just in my dreams."
