This ones a little...violent...just so you know. I had to write it
down tho, it seemed like such a good idea.
Problems in my Head
Ch. 1
By: Keiko
When I was little, I loved to play with my brother’s hair.
It was so long and beautiful, and I just HAD to touch it every chance
I had.
And I did.
Then one day, as my brother was walking home from school (I always
waited for him on the steps in front of our house) a car screeched
around the corner as the driver inside stuck a gun out the window and
shot him.
I never knew why.
I just thought he was being mean to my brother.
Milliardo was only 14 and half.
He died that night, at the hospital.
I didn’t cry, I don’t think, I just sat quietly like a good girl.
Mama and Dad cried. Some of Milliardo’s friends where there, and they
cried.
But I didn’t. The doctors say that was how my problem started.
That’s when I started to suppress my emotions.
The police report read that it was a drive by shooting, but it
wasn’t. Milliardo was into drugs, and had owed that man a lot of
money. Money that he never received.
After all, Milliardo was only fourteen; he couldn’t get a job.
And you don’t tell Mama and Dad you do drugs, so…
It’s ten years later, and I still go to the same stupid doctor, but
I’m in high school now. I live on L1 with my Aunt Sally, because Mama
and Dad didn’t want me anymore.
My best friend Hilde knows what I go through.
She’s the only one I can trust.
Relena slammed the front of her spiral shut as the teacher leaned
over her shoulder.
"And just want are you doing Miss Darlian?" he asked, tapping his
foot.
"Something private. Do you mind?"
"Yes, you are in World History, you should be paying attention."
"Whatever."
"Miss Darlian, you’re pushing it."
"Look, my quack said that I had to write in this thing. So, I’m
following doctor’s orders. Want a note?"
A snicker came from behind her, and the teacher whirled around to
glare at Hilde Schbeiker.
"Think this is funny?"
"Yeah, sure, whatever." Hilde shrugged, smirking.
"That’s it," he roared, "both of you to the office!"
The two girls giggled to themselves and marched obediently out the
door.
As soon as it closed, they burst into laughter.
"That was great Relena, "Want a note?" dude, couldn’t have pulled it
off better if I TRIED."
"Thank you Thank you."
Dorothy Catalonia walked past them, smirking.
"In trouble again I see."
"Shut up ya freak, ever heard of plucking those eyebrows of yours?"
Hilde spat.
"Ever heard of class? No, wait, that IMPOSSIBLE. You can’t buy class
on a Janitor’s salary. my mistake."
"BITCH!"
Relena grabbed Hilde around the shoulders so she wouldn’t pounce on
Dorothy, and tried to calm her down.
"She’s not worth getting in more trouble, wait till we can get her
alone."
Dorothy merely stuck out her tongue out and paraded off down the
hallway. Hilde wrenched out of Relena’s grasp and kicked a nearby
locker with all her force.
"Damnit, she knows EXCATLY what to say to piss me off. I just want to-"
"I know, she does the same thing to me ya know. Just wait till we get
her alone, that’s what counts."
"Yeah."
Hilde smoothed out her short hair and fixed her tight shirt so it
wasn’t crooked.
She looked over at her friend and sighed.
The two looked practically the same, baggy pants, tight short shirt,
and no bra. No wonder they didn’t have guys.
Relena caught her glance and shrugged.
"Man, it’s US, don’t worry about it. Come on; let’s go to the mall. I
snagged my Dear old Dad’s plastic last time he was up. No limit."
"No shit? Damn, I’m there!"
Relena laughed and the two trudged out of the school building.
"Hey guys, mind if we tag along?"
"Ya sure."
They didn’t have to turn around to know who it was. It was just
Catherine Bloom and her brother. They always skipped class and hung
around in the hallways, looking for someone to catch a ride with.
Trowa hadn’t spoken since he had found his mother dead in the
bathroom. He was only 3 at the time.
The four hopped into Relena’s rundown 165 AC car and speed off to the
mall.
Relena flung open the front door to her Aunt Sally’s house and
flipped on the lights.
"Where the hell have you been?"
She smirked.
"Hey Aunt Sally, what’s up?"
Sally stood up and glared at the girl.
"I understand you skipped school today and maxed out your father’s
credit card."
"Really, how do you find these things out?"
Sally sighed heavily and shook her head.
"Look Relena, I know you’ve had it really hard-"
"Oh don’t give me THAT fucking speech again, I heard it
before. Everyone has it hard, it just depends on how one handles
it. You know Dr. Winner gives me the same damn speech every time I
go in there? It’s like you two are going at it or something."
Sally colored slightly.
"Look, Relena-"
"No shit Aunt Sally? I didn’t know you swung that way. I mean, if
ANYTHING, I thought you might go at it with her younger brother,
Quatre. You guys are awful friendly in the waiting room."
"SHUT UP RELENA!"
Relena smirked halfway and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Why? Truth hurts?"
Sally sighed and rubbed her forehead.
"Just go to your room. School starts in a few hours."
"Good night Aunt Sally!" Relena called over her shoulder, several
shopping bags in tow.
She threw the bags in a corner and flopped down on her bed. Sleep
came fast; it was the only thing that let her hide from her problems.
I let her hide from her hateful mother, her alcoholic father, and her
dead brother.
In all actuality, Relena cared for her Aunt Sally a great deal, but
every time she let some one close, the left.
Hilde was the only one that stayed.
Hilde, Catherine, and Trowa.
They where the only ones in the world she could trust, could rely on.
And in her dreams, Trowa and Catherine had a mother, Hilde had a rich
father, and her brother was still alive.
Life sucked, anyone that thought differently, was delusional.
"Daaaaaaaaaaaamn! Break me off a piece of that!"
Hilde declared as the new student walked into class. A long braid
swished back and forth on his back, and big expressive violet eyes
jumped around excitedly.
Standing next to him was God, in Relena’s humble opinion.
Large cobalt eyes stared everything down, and messy, windswept hair
fell gently across his forehead.
Oh yeah, class was DIFFINENTLY going to get more interesting this
year.
"Class," the teacher spoke up, "these are new transfer students from
Earth. Duo Maxwell and Heero Yuy."
"Hiya!" the braided one chirped.
"Hn." The God grumbled.
"Welcome to L1 guys. Take seats where ever they are available."
The two bowed and picked out seats, Duo next to Hilde, and Heero next
to Dorothy Catalonia.
"Well hello!" she cooed, happily.
"Hn." He replied.
"Are you really from Japan?"
"Last time I checked."
"Can you say something in Japanese for me?"
"Omae o Korosu."
"Oooooooh!" she gasped, "That sounds SO neat! What’s it mean?"
"I’m going to kill you." Heero said, standing up to find another seat.
He spotted an empty one next to Relena and sat down. She glanced over
at him, smirking.
"You," she said, "are my new best friend."
"Huh?" he blinked, a little taken aback.
"That was too fucking sweet! You shut her up, congrats."
Heero smirked back at her. Perhaps, L1 would be entertaining.
Yes, I got half of this from the movie Crazy/Beautiful. Come on, you
CAN’T tell me that you’ve never thought about what it would be like
to see Relena as a bad girl. Hilde’s already a little in character,
but Relena’s a MAJOR OOC, ne? Anyway, I’m still working on Look My
Way, but I just had to write some of this down before it got away
from me.
Thanks Hilde’s Realm for posting my fics!
