Race Against Time Chapter 1

The early moon cast it's glow onto a lone figure. She was overlooking a valley, her hair blowing softly in the wind.

"I feel it coming. Like thunder chasing the wind."

Another figure appeared from the shadows. The moonlight playing with the shadows on her face.

"Right, we have little time left. We need to find them."

"Let's go, Savannah."

"Right Loryn."

The two girls climbed into the mobile suits behind them and blasted off into the night.

Quatre Raberba Winner awoke to the sun warming his face. He slid his head under the covers. "Just five more minutes!"

"Master Quatre, you have visitors." Rashid said.

Quatre peeked his blue eyes over the covers, "Who?"

"One of your friends..." Rashid didn't finish his sentence. He watched as Quatre got up out of bed and walked out of the room, mumbling something about killing his friends.

"And a pair of young girls." Rashid finished after Quatre left.

Quatre stomped down the last few steps to come face to face with Duo Maxwell.

"Heya buddy boy! How ya been?"

"Duo, I really wish you would call before you come. I was having a nice dream!" Quatre said through gritted teeth.

"Ehh.. I take it you ain't a morning person, huh? Sorry!"

"That's O.K.." Quatre said, admitting defeat. "What do you want?"

Duo stepped aside to reveal two young ladies. "I brought some friends"

The first lady stepped forward. Her dark brown hair was just past her shoulders and covered her ears. Her Prussian blue eyes were the kind that could see right to your soul.

"Hi, I'm Loryn Yuy! Sorry to wake you."

'Just like Heero's' Quatre thought, staring her straight in the eyes.

"Umm.. Is he all right?" he heard Loryn ask Duo.

"Oh, I'm sorry Miss Loryn.."

"Just Loryn will do. And this is my friend, Savannah Strife ."

The other lady stepped forward. Her red hair long and wavy like fire. Her green eyes shone with compassion and honesty.

"Hi!" She said giving her hand to him. "We really didn't mean for you to come down so fast, you could've at least changed ya know."

Quatre looked down not himself and his face went blood red.

"RASHID! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME I WAS STILL IN MY PJ'S?!" He yelled up to the man coming down the stairs.

"I like them. I never knew that they made camel boxers." Loryn said, poking a camel on his butt. This made Quatre even redder.

"Please excuse me." Quatre said as he ran up the stairs and slammed the door to his room.

Quatre came back downstairs, fully dressed in jeans and a red tee-shirt. He found Duo in the kitchen and the girls relaxing on the couch.

Loryn looked over at him and commented, "I liked the boxers better." then turned back to the Tv.

Quatre blushed and sat down beside her. Savannah got up and went to join Duo in the kitchen. "Quatre, two questions." She said. "Yes?"

"One, what do you have to eat? Two, do you know where the other Gundam pilots are?"

"Anything you can find, and Yes, I know where Trowa Barton is." He answered her. "Why?"

"Oh, me and my friend need to find all of you Gundam Pilots. We found Duo first, and he led us here." Loryn told him, not looking from the Tv.

"Oh." Silence except for the Tv.

"What are you watching?" Quatre asked.

"Tenchi Muyo. It's very funny."

"Oh."

Again silence except for the Tv.

"Are you related to Heero Yuy?" Quartre tried again.

"Who? No, I don't think so."

"Oh."

Silence.

CRASH!

"Duo!" Savannnah yelled from the kitchen.

"Sorry, Quatre."

Quatre just sighed. Another day with Duo another dish.

After the little mishap was cleaned up, Loryn told Quatre and Duo about there mission.

"Ok, see the thing is, an alien race is headed toward this planet. Our mission is to find this race and destroy it! Got it? Got it! Good!"

"Umm.. Loryn, why?" Duo asked her.

"Cause, if we don't they can and will destroy the colonies and Earth."

"Ouch! Well I'll go get Trowa and then we can find the others."

"Kay, let's go!" Loryn and Savannah got up from the table and headed towards the front door.

"Where are you going?" Quatre asked as he also got up.

"To get our shuttle ready." Savannah told him.

"Oh."
