Hello again! This will be my newest fic "Road Trip". It takes place (as usual) after the series and Endless Waltz. This will be many (I’m hoping) chapters or whatever long since I’ve decided to try doing a long fic this time instead of my other extremely short fics. And, hopefully I will finish each chapter without leaving gaps of years in-between (though I can’t promise anything, I’m a very busy person you know) Anywayz, enough gab, on with the fic!

Road Trip

Prologue:

"DUO MAXWELL!!" Hilde screamed looking in horror at the mess in the kitchen. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!" All the cabinet doors were opened with some items spilling out, and other items (like old Chinese food) managed to make their way inside. The counters were covered with spilled sugar, food wrappers, ketchup, broken and dirty dishes, and all kinds of food ranging from melted ice cream to rotten carrots. The floor was a sight itself, even more food, and thrash heaped there. Soda and juice completed the melange having been spilled over everything.

Duo looked over the open refrigerator door with a very surprised look on his face." Hilde…ah…I-I can explain…" Duo said meekly over a mouthful of week old cake. He looked down at the piece of cake he was holding, sweat dropped, then tossed it back into the refrigerator. "Um, Um…you see…" he tried to start. "I was, uh, hungry…and you weren’t back yet…" he cowered beneath Hilde’s death glare *Oh-my-god! She’s going to kill me! * he thought quickly looking for the quickest way out. Then he tried to begin once more, "I was gonna clean it up…"

"Duo, I can’t take this anymore, first you trashed my living room, then the bathroom, then the office, now this! I don’t know how you managed to do it, but you have trashed every room in my house except my room. The only room I haven’t seen is yours, but I’m afraid to look in there!" said. "I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" she yelled. Duo had shrunken to half his original size under Hilde’s fury.

Suddenly, the two heard a soft snickering. "Who’s there!" Hilde called out angrily. The snickering turned into a resounding laugh. Hilde whirled around to the vid-phone on the kitchen table. With a look of dismay on her face (one Duo would’ve joked about had he not been so terrified that she was going to kill him) Hilde reached out, and with a jerk from her wrist, spun the miniature screen with the faces of Relena and Heero Yuy (who were slumped over each other and were rocking with laughter at the hilarious sight before them), turned it around so it faced the kitchen wall instead of the horrific mess. She glared once more at Duo as if it were his fault the couple had called, then walked cautiously over to the phone. Putting on an obviously phony smile, she plopped down in the seat and said, "What brings the pleasure?"

"Hilde, you look like you need a rest," Relena started. "When was the last time you went on a vacation?"

"Is that an offer or an honest to goodness suggestion?" asked Hilde.

"Both actually. In one week you are coming to visit us," Relena told her.

"Hmm, doesn’t sound like I have much of a choice. Okay, I guess I could spare you some time Mrs. Yuy. Say, isn’t your anniversary coming up soon?" Hilde cracked a wide grin to the happily married for four years couple.

"Actually, it is," Relena said looking idly at Heero.

"Excuse me, but some of us just ate," Duo said walking up behind Hilde who sent another death glare at him. He realized what he said and sweat dropped.

"Well," Heero said in a one-toned voice. "It looks like you fed the floor more than you fed yourself." Hilde’s glare turned into an all-out smile, then a giggle at the remark made by Heero. She hadn’t known that Heero was able to have a sense of humor.

"Anyway," Relena said, "You and Duo have to be at the space port by 2:15…"

"Whoa, hold on there Relena, I thought I just heard a Duo in that last sentence when it was just me that we were talking about a second ago," Hilde said cutting Relena off.

"Of course we’re inviting Duo! I thought it’d give you and Duo more time to, you know, get to know each other better," Relena said.

"Thanks very much the same, but I don’t think I could handle being in the same car with Duo for that long," Hilde said.

Relena leaned closer and then said, "Fine, you can come here alone, but I don’t think that I’d like leaving my house alone that long with someone like Duo.

"Hey!" Duo shouted offensively. Hilde became pale as all the dreadful images of her demolished house after Duo got done with it rolled through her mind.

"Okay," she sighed feeling defeat.

"Great, then I guess Heero and I will be seeing you two later," Relena said victoriously then terminating the connection. *Oh man* thought Hilde *I have a very bad feeling about this*
