My name is Sotiris Sgouros. I live in Athens, Greece and i am the owner of this car.
The car it is moved on to its full restoration and repainting a year ago.
All parts of the car are original and the original interior fittings and upholstery (thankfully the original one!)have been retained and are in excellent condition, despite that the car is now 70 years old.
The car has a 6-cylinder 2110 c.c. motor which is in a very good condition and functions very sweetly.
All electric parts are in very good condition and operative.
The car is fitted with a DA-36 Downdraft Zenith Stromberg carburetter.
Recently, i have found in a bookshop in London the original instruction book which is the same for the Hillman Sixteen, Twenty and seven-seaters.
It has a FIVA identity card and is A3 categorised.The car has been issued PHILPA - The Antique Car Club of Greece - number plates.
The specific model is EXTREMELY RARE.
It is worth referring that, in the research I have undertaken and in the various Hillman Owners Clubs that I have come in touch with, no other entry of a similar car has been found. Thus, this is the only roadworthy Hillman Sixteen Light Saloon Deluxe currently in circulation and registered with FIVA.
