Balnthali Village Tours

Standing on a plateau, just beyond panauti above 40 Km away from Kathmandu, is a small sleepy settlement of BalthaliVillage which rests at the junction of Roshi and Ladku Khola rivers. High above the southern ridge of this exceptional hamlet stands Balthali Village resort an outstanding place of isolation and relaxation amidst a surround of typical Nepali countryside with terraced rice fields and ochre thatched farm houses. With snowy peaks of Dorjee Lhakpa, langtang and whole range of mountain rests clear and bright on the northern horizon. Whist the backyard is dominated by high hills of lush green Maharabharat Range which makes Balthali Village resort- a perfect place for solitude and thento relax midst countryside where time stands still, unperturbed, almost like the middle ages. this is a place to rediscover what nature does to your soul

Day1
One hour drive from Kathmandu to historical and holy city Panauti. Thenvisit Hindu temple Indreshwor, which is eight hundred yeasr old, very famous for it's very intriciat woodcarving. You also find here status of Sun God Surya, Moon God Ghandra etc. You also find here crematorium (ghat), where a dead body is cremated. Panauti is totally renovated by France. Afterwards drive to Khopasi about 4 Km then luggages will be carried by hotel staffs or by jeep. And you will walk about one hour up to the Resort . Also for those who love walking, a long walk from Panautii to the Resort can be arranged. A easy walk through rice & Potato field to the Resort takes about three hour

Day2
This morning your tour starts through the terraces field and you will reach Buddhist stupa, Namo Buddha, one of the most holy site for the Buddhists. It is believed that the ancient Buddha was born here as a Prince. From here you have a nice view of Gauri Shanker and other peaks as well. Then return to the Resort crossing Rosi Khola (river) through a hanging bridge. The day tour takes almost five to six hours.

Day3
After breakfast you start to walk down to Ladku Khola where you have
an opportunity to see the seasonal fishing activities of the villagers. Walk up to Lukuwa danda(1850m) for a birds eye view of the whole Balthali Village area. From here you have a nice view of Himalayas Annapurna to Mt.Everest. .Also the thick greenary forest of Mahabharat range which stands in front of you. Then after you returned to the Resort through the bushy trail, it take five to six hours.

Day4
This day you will visit a typical Tamang Village Dada gaun where theBuddhist folks have been living. The place is very secluded from the modern world. Here the people as well as animal live together. Then walk to Pada Gaun (2100m.) from where you have an extremely goad view of long range of Himalayas .On the other side you also have a beautiful views of green forest of Mahabharat. Almost, which stands very close to you. Afterwords walk to Karthali, a hamlet of nature and then along the (Ladku) river banks back to the resort. It takes about five hours.

Day5
After breakfast descent to the junction of two rivers Rossi and Ladku Khola. A small rest to grasp a beautiful natural setting nearby. Holy shrine of lord Shiva and traditional maize-mill are to visit here. Ascent to the typical Tamang village Nepane, which makes you test the real life style of Nepalese people in the hilly regions. The return to the resort crosses the Ladku Khola via a long suspension bridge. (3 hours walk)
