RPG Name: Bokkai's Entry RPG
Started By: Cruton
Starting Place: Heion Kisetsu Academy Courtyard
Players: Bokkai, Theresa, Aiden, and Eika
Bokkai stepped off of the helicopter pad, carrying a sports locker
and a
suitcase. He looked around at the school grounds. They were plain.
Almost
too plain. As if somebody had gone through a great amount of
trouble to
make them appear normal. However unwittingly, he knew otherwise.
Setting
down his luggage, he pulled out the papers he had received in the
mail.
"Northeast dorm, second floor, room 5..."
Theresa stepped out of the main University with a sigh of
relief.
Dancing class was over and she lived through it another day. She
walked
through the large court yard as a loud helicopter landed. Theresa
squinted
her eyes to see the person hop off the massive machine but saw no
one. She
Eika watched out the window of a second helicopter, seated
quietly with
her school satchel on her lap and looking at her new school with
interest.
She gathered up her bags as the copter descended, turning to her
pilot.
"Domo Arigato." She smiled a little. "I hope it
wasn't too
much trouble."
The young man nodded back in a friendly manner. "Not at all,
Miss.
Enjoy your new school, won't you?"

Eika held her hat back on her head as the helicopter lifted off
the pad, sending dust and dry leaves to swirl around her. Rubbing at
her
eyes, she found herself rather unimpressed at the school's outside
appearance.
She headed for the school, still looking around.
Her meandering was halted abruptly when she walked into a seeming
wall
of boy and tripped. Embarrassed, she looked up and found she'd walked
right
into another incoming student, a boy with dusty brown hair and a calm
expression.
Eika, however, was far from calm.
"Oh, I...I'm awfully sorry..."
Aiden stepped out of the school, holding his algebra and
english books. He thought to his paper, due in three days, and sighed.
"This
is a main part of your grade!" his teacher's snippy voice ran echoed
through his
head. *I guess I have to do this one* he thought as he walked across the
grounds.
After getting into the dorm and going to his room he fell
backwards
onto his bed. After a moment he sat up, walked over to his desk, pulled
out a
pen and paper, and began thinking of how to phrase his feelings about
Japan's
history.
Bokkai looked at the girl who had walked into him. With a good natured
smile, he helped her to her feet.
"It's no problem, miss. I probably should've not just have stood there
like that anyway."
He brushed some dust off of her shoulder. "I don't suppose you know the
way to the northeast dorm, do you?"
Aiden cried out in rage as he ruffled his hair due to frustration.
Standing up, he angrily crumpledded the paper with various notes on it
and
tossed it in the corner of his room. He walked out of his room, slamming
the
door behind him.
He walked towards the school, thinking of taking out a book from
the
library. *Boy, this is real you-ish* he thought with a laugh. *Just pick
some
horror book and you'll be fine.* He saw a few people standing out in
front of
the school talking.
Eika felt herself compelled to return the smile; she could already tell
she
could easily be friends with this boy. "Hajimemashite..." she laughed
quietly. "As long as there's no harm done."
She looked at her own student ID papers, absently heading for the main
building. "The Northereast dorm...? Gomen,
no...I'm in Room 200
myself. Although, for that matter, I don't know where that is either.
I'd
be glad to help you find it, though."
She turned back to face him. "I'm Tsukihino Eika, by the way."
Bokkai bowed. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tsukihino-san. I am Yamato
Bokkai. I hope we can be friends."
Bringing himself back up, he caught sight of the main building's
tower. It would probably make for a great photo essay. Inadvertantly, he
eyes focuses on the very top of it. He felt himself being drawn up
towards it. Unbidden, words floated out of the recesses of his mind. *The
arena...*
He pulled himself out of his revelry, shaking his head. Remembering
Eika and their mutual plight, he spotted Aiden and pointed. "Maybe he can
help us find our respective dorms."
Aiden walked out of the library, carrying a book that sounded rather
interesting (How to write science fiction and fantasy). He saw Theresa
standing dumbfounded in front of the school and tapped her on the
schoulder. "Hiyah."
Eika followed Bokkai's line of sight to the boy, who was shortly joined
by
a girl who he appeared to know. She nodded. "That sounds good.
He looks
like he knows his way around."
Together with her new acquaintance, she headed over to the academy
building. There was something oddly familiar about the place, familiar
in
it's simplicity and solitary sense of impressive quiet.
How strange....
The boy and girl were comfortably talking together, making Eika feel a
slight twinge of guilt for interrupting.
"Excuse me...could you help us, please?"
After saying a brief hello to Aiden she noticed two people, a young man
and
young woman, walk in their direction. She smiled at the new commers. and
greated them happily. "Hi, can we help you?"
Aiden stretched and said, "Yeah, what do you need?" kindly. He smiled
at
them and said, "Let me guess. You can't find your dorms like I couldn't,
right?" He thought back to that. *Geez, I must sound like a real jerk* he
thought then laughed. "I'm sorry if I'm sounding mean right now. I just
have to write a paper due tomorrow."
Bokkai grimaced under the younger boys impoliteness, although the excuse
was perfectly acceptable. The girl seemed nice enough, though.
"Yes. We're sorry to bother you, but..."
His eyes wandered to the girl's hand. They immediately locked on a large
silver ring inscribed with a a rose. Hostility rose up within him; he
knew, just somehow knew, that she would stop him from doing what he
needed. He forced the feelings down, although his jaw tightened.
"...we would be grateful for any help you could lend us..."
Theresa noticed the new guys hostility and raised an eyebrow. *Okaaaay*
She
said slowly in her thoughts. "Uh Think we can help you. . . .What's your
dorm number?" She asked politly.
Eika looked up at Bokkai, inwardly startled by his sharp change in
attitude. "Uhm..." She consulted her student information.
"I'm in Room
200, and he's in the Northeast dorm...we just can't seem to find them."
Aiden looked at the guy. He noticed that his expression had changed
slightly, just enough to draw attention. *Whatever* thought Aiden.
Suddenly, realizing that he hadn't introduced himself he bowed slightly.
"I've been so rude I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Aiden Saber.
Pleased to meet you."
Eika smiled at the other boy, glad for a change in topic.
"Hajimemashite,
Aiden. My name's Eika Tsukihino..." She dipped in a returned
bow and
adjusted her hat again, a habit when meeting new people. Noticing the
book
in Aiden's hand, she smiled. "Science fiction? Great
stuff."
Theresa smiled at the girls nice attitude then suddenly got a sharp
feeling of jelousy. *What the hell do I have to be jelious about?* She
though to hereself before thinking back to the girls problem with the
dorms. "Hey your's is 200. That's my dorm. Welcome room mate. My name is
Theresa."
Eika laughed and bowed to Theresa. "Wow, that's lucky!! " Hoping
that
Bokkai might have similar success with Aiden, she nudged him in hopes of
breaking him out of his stony silence. "I just found my roommate,
Bokkai-san. How about you?"
"Oh...I...do not have a roomate, yet, I think."
Bokkai checked his papers to be sure. That, and it let him look away from
Theresa.
"Yes, I am alone in room..213."
He looked up towards Aiden and Theresa. More towards Aiden.
"Please, if you can just point me in the right direction, I will get out
of your hair."
"You're not in the way at all. But if you insist." Aiden pointed
towards
the dorm that was in the Northeast and said, "You're the dorm up that way
Bokkai. Eika." He pointed in the other direction. "You in the
Northwest
dorm. However, I think I speak for both me and Thereasa, when I say that
you can both hang around with us. We can show you the ropes." Aide then
thought *Actually, I barely know anything. It's all Theresa.*
Eika nodded and stuffed her student packet into her bag.
"Arigato, I
think we'd both appreciate that very much." Shouldering her bags, she
followed Theresa towards the dorm, peering over her shoulder to see if
the
boys were following.
Theresa walked along with Eika and smiled.
"You Aiden and I are all
in
the same dorm. He lives a couple doors away from us." She motioned to the
The
deep red haired guy that walked behind them. She looked over her shoulder
to
Bokkai. "I actually have never been to his dorm."
"Thank you for the directions." He bowed to the others.
"Underclassmen
Saber and Tsukihino..." He gaze wandered back to Theresa, hardening.
"..." Quickly, he adjusted his grip on his bags and walked away from
the
group, towards his own dorm. He needed to get away from that girl. Being
around her felt...disgusting. That was the word: disgusting. Something
about her disgusted him.
Eika took another look at Bokkai before turning her attention back to
Theresa
and Aiden. She wondered what could possibly have made him change his
attitude so drastically, and so quickly.
She hoped she'd see him again. For whatever reason, she liked him.
Eika looked between her two classmates. "So, what's it like
here?"
Bokkai finally found his dorm. The building seemed most abandoned, though
a few students were filtering in and out. He lugged his bags up the
stairs and found his room.
Entering it, he dropped his luggage in the center and looked
around.
The room was sparse and obviously focused on function. Not the best
place, but it would do. Suddenly, a glimmering on the desk caught his
eye.
Inspecting it, he found a large ring of darkened silver, with a
pink
rose design on top. It felt...right. Almost automatically, he slide it
onto his finger. This was him. A smile crept across his lips. Now he
understood why that girl had disturbed him; in some small way, a part of
her was antithesis to a part of him. It was a natural force. Looking back
down at the desk, he idly noted a card that read "dark, earth".
Everything was explained.
Somewhere, a storm broke, thunder crashed, a dog barked, and
a woman
screamed. At Heion Kisetsu, another piece of the puzzle merely slide into
place.
Eika listened intently to Theresa's details of life at
Heion Kisetsu, with the occasional interjection by Aiden. The trio parted
ways at the door to Room 200, and Eika stepped inside.
The room was comfortable enough, leaving
Eika enough space to herself so that she didn't feel forced to be overly social.
She dropped onto her bed, bouncing the mattress and flouncing her pillow
onto the floor.
A shiny object flew out from beneath her
pillow, falling off the bed and rolling almost deliberately into a streak of
sunlight cast by the window. She leaned over and picked it up, interested
to find a silver ring marked with an embossed rose. She smiled at the
pleasant surprise and slid it onto her third finger.
It fit perfectly.
Eika slid her hand under the pillow and
fished around. A few moments later she was rewarded with a small card,
with the handwritten words "Light, Time."
That's odd, she thought. Some
sort of welcoming present, maybe...
She took another look at the ring on her
finger and smiled to herself. It seemed her life here was going to be full
of surprises.
Just how many, she had yet to find out.
