When to give up....
(by Lady Death from Romania)

Some fights are simply not worth fighting ... There always comes a time when the
smartest thing you can do is to give up, and go on with your life.
Because some fights are simply too tiring - it feels like fighting against
windmills... useless... And you also are surrounded by an ocean of incertitude and
doubt..... All you have to know is when to give up.
No, maybe your expectations weren't too high - they never are - dreaming is
never bad. But sometimes you simply HAVE nothing to fight for. Some things are
really not worth wasting such an amount of energy for. And sometimes you happen
to fight for a wrong thing, or for an already lost cause.
Sometimes, after an exhausting fight, when you are on the verge of cracking up,
and all you want to do is throw it all away and go on with your life, you look
back and realize that you barely fought at all.
You only have to know WHEN to give up. You should know whether what you are
fighting for is just an illusion or a reachable dream. All In all, you should
know if it's WORTH fighting for that. Because, as I said, there's nothing wrong
about dreaming - it's your right, and sometimes it's your ultimate refuge from
this world. The only bad thing about dreams is that they can hurt you - but only
when you can't tell the thin line between reality and fantasy, or when what you
aim for is just intangible.
THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE IS TO WAKE UP.
... there are so many rules... so many views on life: 'wake up', 'give up', or, on
the contrary, 'don't give up'....... So many rules.... Advice, actually. Still, no one
tells you WHEN or HOW to apply them...
You are left with an inheritance of advice, of traditions, but nobody tells you
HOW to apply them.... Or how can they help you. And you end up by finding it out
on your own, by 'making your own way in life'... all alone... And no one thinks
that, being all alone, you might fall. And, after falling for too many times,
you don't have the strength, or the guts to get up again...
