I live in Porto Alegre, Southern Brazil.  Soon I'm going to scan a map.  My city has 1.3 million inhabitants.  It also has a lot of trees.  I haven't taken any landscape pictures (we sure have some beautiful places, such as the river and the parks), but I promise I will soon.  I'm just sending some architectural pictures.  I had a photography assignment in which I had to capture the essence of the buildings that are downtown.  I chose the old ones that were painted.  Not all are like these ones, but we sure have many historical places there.

Left and right picture is a museum. Actually, we call it a memorial of my state - Rio Grande do Sul. It used to be the post office central many years ago. This is very easy to locate, since its right in front of the main square of the city. It's as beautiful inside as it is outside
