My name is Kim Nichols. I live in Livingston, Ca. I have been raising and showing different breeds of rabbits for over 10 years. I started out raising Rex rabbits. From there, I raised Mini Rex, Satins, Jersey Woolies, Netherland Dwarfs, Florida Whites, Dutch & Himalayans. I am currently raising Lionheads and am still raising my most favorite breed of all, The Himalayan rabbit. I love the breed! They are the most docile breed. A few years ago, I was a 4-H leader and FFA adviser for several years. I highly recommend Himalayans as a showmanship project. My Himalayans have done very well on the show table. I have raised all four color varieties (blk, blue, choc.,& lilac). I currently only raise blacks. I recently got into raising Lionhead rabbits. They have not yet been accepted by the ARBA as an recongnized breed. Hopefully sometime this year (2004), they will get excepted. I don't really care for thier personality though. I love thier uniqueness. They definatly look like little lions with thier mane of wool around thier necks. I love the way they sit up and pose.
