Blossom's P.O.V.

I couldn't sleep or the nightmares would come back.
Every night, the horrible vision of the Professor being stolen away by
an evil demon. He goes without
struggle, and doesn't even wave goodbye... I float
out of bed carefully, so not to wake Bubbles or Buttercup, and I almost
go into the Professor's room
when I hear voices coming from it.
"They'll just have to get over it, Him." I almost
scream. The Professor and... Him?! Using my X-ray vision, I look through
the wall at them, lying in bed
together. My nightmares have come true, and in the
worst way.
Then Him speaks, so soft I have to use my super hearing to make out the words. "They won't. Your girls just wouldn't accept it." Oh boy, was that true.
"How do you know that? Maybe if you gave up crime..." Hah! Him, give up crime? That's rich.
"You know I want to," Huh? "But It's the only thing that keeps me from falling apart, except for you." The tenderness in Him's voice is surprising, and it's hard to remain suspicious.
"But that's the point." said the Professor. "If you renounce all criminal activity, there'll be no reason for the girls to want to hurt you."
"I'm scared of being totally good. Evil is all I've known for millennia... Until you, of course." The two of them kiss, just a light touch of the lips. The Professor looks so happy, more content than I've seen him in ages. As for Him, a large, genuine smile crosses his lips.
"You can do it," the Professor says. "I know you can." Looking over, he finds that Him has fallen asleep, and soon drifts into slumber himself.
I wait until they're both fully asleep, and then climb back into bed. I don't think I'll have to worry about nightmares anymore.
