Miku Hinasaki

Miku is the main character of Fatal Frame. Her family has a history of people gifted with a special "sixth sense." After her mother died, her brother, Mafuyu, was her only family. Like the rest of her family, Miku can "see things" that ordinary people cannot.




Because of her special ability, Miku has had a difficult time maintaining friendships. Most people she encounters find her a little strange. Mafuyu, her brother, is the only one who accepts her for who she is; after all, he understands what she's going through.




Miku visits Himuro Mansion in search of Mafuyu, who has disappeared while searching for his mentor, Junsei Takamine. Once inside the mansion, she finds that a powerful force is keeping her sealed from the outside.




Determined to find Mafuyu, Miku ventures into the mansion, encountering helpful as well as dangerous spirits. On the floor at the end of the rope hallway, she finds the camera that Mafuyu had brought with him and realizes that something terrible has happened to her brother. Miku takes the camera, using it to battle spirits throughout the mansion in her search to discover just what has taken place in this mansion.
